I purchased a Seiko divers watch in Canada approx 25 years ago. It had an English-French day wheel. Unfortunately the interior became damaged beyond repair. The case and strap remain in perfect condition. I believe it is of the 7548-700A ? type. I should like to purchase a new movement for this case. Is this possible?

You could ask Seiko via their web site. If this watch is of value to you, send it to their service center for repair. They can fully advicse you as to the cost and other factors important to you. Go here: http://www.seikowatches.com/support/faq/repairs.html

My 5 year old Seiko kinetic (divers') watch: beyond shaking, is there a way to wind it? I used to be able to press the power button and see the second hand advance 20 seconds. Now I never have enough...

I am going to make an assumption or two. One is you wear your watch regularly. At least every other day. Two is you are not sedentary. Try wearing the watch for three days. If the power indicator doesn't read at least 15 to 20 you have a bad cell (capacitor). If it does charge up to 15 to 20 then see if it lasts very long. Should last a couple weeks or more. If not then you still have the same problem. You can also go to a watchmaker and he will have a piece of equipment that can charge your cell in 3 1/2 hours. Then if the cell goes dead rapidly he/she will replace it. Should cost around 50 or less.

Manual for seiko mens automatic divers watch SNZB33J1

The retailer is supposed to provide an instruction booklet with the watch. If you do not have one, please contact the retailer from whom you purchased the watch. If that is not possible, please contact the nearest Seiko Service Center shown on the Seiko world map. In addition, features and operations as well as instruction manuals for some calibers are available below.

Hi.ive own a 70s seiko diver 6309-7040 an problem is now the watch is not keeping time (slow at least 5mns a day)can i do DIY adjustment on it..pls helpguide..thanks.

As thesed watches are sealed it is unwise to attempt any DIY activity.

As you have had the watch for many years it is very likely that it needs a clean. As it is so old, some parts may need replacing and this can only be doneby the maker. (Most makers recommend cleaning every 3 years or so).

If it is only just starting to loose time, then you have done very well out of it!

I just purchased my son a Seiko Divers Automatic 200M watch for graduation. For the first few days, the watch worked, but ran about 15-20 minutes fast. Now it won't move at all? Tried wearing it for 8...

Hi mtrahan99. My advice is to take it back and get it replaced, particularly if you have only had it a few days. If they won't exchange it or refund you, get a repair under the guarantee. Automatic watches (and Seiko actually make some very good ones) don't need to be worn all the time to wind them, and the fact that it ran so fast and has now stopped would indicate something major like problems with the mainspring. Return it! Hope this helps; Eagle58

Setting Date. Seiko SGF204 (w/ 7N43 Band) French & English Days.

If you pull out the stem 1/2 way, you set the date one direction, and the day the other. If you pull it out all the way, it moves the hands and sets the time.
