To find your MAC address on the config page go to Standard Network Card then UAA (MSB, Canonical): you should have one or two sets of characters. the second set should be the MAC address to the printer. Hope this helps

I need the procedure to enter a new ip in a tallygenicom 9022. we can print out he old address but cannot get info on putting in a new one

If the printer already has an IP address and you know what it is by printing a config page, the simplest thing to do is connect a pc directly to the printer using a cross over network cable. Ensure the IP address in the PC is in the same range as the printer ie only the fourth octet is different. Ensure you can PING the printer Enter the current IP address of the 9022 in a web browser and it should take you to the printers internal web page whic will allow you to change network settings. An alternative option is to use the ARP command at the DOS prompt, for this you will need the MAC for the network card on the printer, this will be on the printed network config page and on a lable on the network card. For help on the ARP command type; ARP /? At the DOS command propt on a PC. A third option is to use a software utility called SYNCTHRU supplied on the installation CD that was with the network card when new.

Print a config page and check the IP address.
On the PC right click the 4050, go to properties, go to ports.
Make sure the IP address is the same as the printer.
Also on the rear of the printer, make sure that the green light on the JetDirect is on.
Check the config page (the 2nd page) right below the EIO X - JetDirect heading.
It should say "I/O Card Ready"

Hi there,
To find the static IP and Mac Address of your printer, press and hold green button for 10 seconds until green and yellow light starts blinking together, it will take out 3 print outs, 1 is printer information, 2nd will be configuration page, 3rd will be the toner status page,
Also you can Check your printer manual. This is the easiest and fastest way to find the printer's MAC address
Alternatively Print out a configuration page.

I have a HP 2200 Printer with a hp jetdirect 615n model j6057a Iam unable to get the printer to tell me the mac address. Help to locate MAC another way.

If you know the IP of the printer & the printer is connected to the network, try pinging the IP address of the printer.
After that, open a command prompt & type the following command then press Enter:
arp -a
This will display the arp cache on your computer. Check the list & find your printer's IP, & opposite to it, you will find its MAC address listed.

Printer unable to obtain IP address

Reset the TCP/IP information. To do so, Turn off the printer power. With the cartridge door open, hold down both cancel and continue buttons and power the printer on. Hold the buttons until the lights cycle. The TCP/IP information should be cleared. Wait a few minutes. The printer should pick up a new IP address from the network, or should set a default IP. Press the Continue button to print a new test page, and you should see the new address.

DPR-1260 ... prints but cannot access web config page

To get into the web configuration you need to know your firmware on the DPR-1260. If it is 1.12, us http://dlinkps-xxxxxx where the X's are the last 6 number of the mac address. If it is 1.20 and up, use http://dlink-xxxxxx, where the x's are the last 6 number of the mac address. If you do set it up as DHCP or static and know the ip address of the print server just type in the ip address of the print server on the address bar.
