You need the location of the part that's stamped on the board near where it was soldered in. And you need a soldering tool to resolder the new part in and cut the excess wire with cutters so you're not to short out the circuit.

Please count the amount of blinks before it pauses. The number of blinks will say if the door isnt latched all of the way or if the thermal fuse has popped above the lamp area. Hope its a 6 blink as that is the thermal fuse which is easy to bypass or replace.

I'm having the same problem with my tv (wega sony kdf e60a20) just like a few other people here, with the sensor cutoff fuse, how do you replace this item?

If you mean the thermal fuse, the set should have a red blink code of 5 blinks. The thermal fuse is way inside on the frame of the lamp housing but can be tested with rear cover removed.

If you have one bad the red blinking light will have to display some code.

6 blinking red lights

You still have your guessed problem. 6 blinks means Low B+ error (power supply). This can be caused by an open thermal fuse, loading by another circuit board, or the power supply itself.

Sony Wega KDFE55A20 screen and sound going out, red blinking lights, but comes back on...then repeats. Replaced the bulb about 8 months ago and seemed to solve the problem. But it is occuring way too often...

p# 19100239 6 blinks indicates fuse. Do not plug set into switched outlet. besure set is allowed to cool down before ac power is ever removed. Thermal fuse is on the optical block under the lamp housing. do goole search for part availability and source.

Replacing Thermal Fuse in Sony Grand Wega KDF-E55A20

The PROPER way to replace the thermal fuse is to remove the optical block first. There are at least two recessed screws holding the block in place. BE VERY CAREFUL removing the block as it is very easy to tear/rip wires when doing so. I cannot emphasize enough NOT TO JUST THROW THE NEW THERMAL FUSE INSIDE THE CABINET!!!! The thermal fuse is a safety device mounted near the lamp to prevent overheating. Those that choose to just let the fuse "sit out in the open air" are risking greater failures and the possibility of fire.

6 red light blinks-possible thermal fuse prob.

The thermal fuse is located under the optical block. However the optical block needs to be removed to replace it. So unless you are very familiar with the disassembly of this tv I suggest you have a Sony ASC to do the repair work for you. You don't want to take a chance of damaging the optical block.

the g1 board is your issue. 6 blinks means there is no or low b+ coming from the g1 board.
