Hi

Depending on your phone you will need either a mini - USB cable or micro USB cable. You can find them on eBay. Most likely Micro USB.

I just bought the DANE-ELEC Micro SD. It comes with the Micro Card and the USB and the SD Adapter. I am trying to get the pictures from my phone to my computer. There are no instructions so I do not...

Put the Micro SD card into your phone and transfer the pictures to it. Once you have transferred the pictures, take the card out of your phone and put it into the SD Adapter and then into the USB Adapter. Once you have done that plug the USB Adapter into your computer and wait for it to load. After waiting a few seconds, click start, my computer, then double click on the SD card icon. Your pictures should load and you should be able to transfer them to your computer.

3. Memory Card

.carloadrian_9.jpg
SD cards are used in many cell phones.

Many cell phones come with removable memory chips, which can be used to expand the available storage on the cell phone, or to transfer files (such as music and pictures) between the cell phone and other devices. Once you identify the kind of expandable memory in use on your phone, an adapter can usually allow you to connect it to a laptop as if it were a USB drive.

Here's the instructions on how to do that:

1. Determine what kind of two-gigabyte memory chip your cell phone uses. You can do this by checking the specifications of your cell phone in the manual or on the manufacturer's website, or by removing the card and examining it. As of April 2010, the most common kind of memory card used in cell phones is the SD format, which comes in standard, mini, and micro sizes. Your phone may also use the Memory Stick Pro or Pro Mini format. The format type will be printed on the side of the card.
2. Purchase a USB adapter for the card you are using, which is available from many different vendors. If your card is in a mini or micro format, make sure that the adapter comes with a sleeve for the card of your size; this allows you to insert a mini or micro card into the sleeve, and changes the card into a standard size for use with the adapter.
3. Insert the card into the sleeve, if necessary, then into the adapter. Connect the adapter to a USB port on your laptop. The card will appear on your laptop as if it were a USB drive. When you are finished working with the card on your laptop, you can move it back to your cell phone.

I recently bought a micro mini, transfered pics from cell phone, put micro into the min adapter and into my laptop, and laptop did not see it. Tried another mini disk and the drive works...

See if the adapter has a small switch on it (for wright protect) an move it . if this not solves the problem try another adapter (ask somebody to borrow one). if it`s still not working your MicroSD may be compromised, but this is really hard to happen.

Can I transfer pictures from my computer back to my chip

If you have a micro SD card that has an adapter for your computer you can plug it into your computer and open it inside an explorer window and drag and drop pictures from your computer folder to your picture folder on the micro SD card. You can definitely do it. I just did it for a friend of mine and it works perfectly. That's why they sell the micro SD cards with the adapters for your computers...so you can transfer things back and forth. Mine is the 8GB Kingston that comes with adapters from micro to mini to regular SD card and to USB port. I bought it from Newegg.com for under $20.
