How to get rid of blinking envelope when mail box is empty

To restore the Envelope icon in the notification area follow these steps:

1. Start Outlook.
2. Click the Tools menu, click Options.
3. On the Preferences Tab, click E-mail Options.
4. Click Advanced E-mail Options.
5. Click to select the Show an envelope icon in thenotification area check box.
   
   Note In Microsoft Outlook 2002, the check box is named Show an envelope icon in thesystem tray.

Outlook 2010

1. On the File tab, click Options.
2. Select Mail in the left navigation pane.
3. In the Message arrival section, click to select the Show an envelope icon in the taskbar check box.

1. On the Tools menu, point to Letters and Mailings, and then click Envelopes and Labels.
2. Click the Envelopes tab.
3. In the Delivery address box, enter or edit the mailing address.
4. In the Return address box, you can accept the default return address or do one of the following:
• Enter or edit the return address.
• Omit a return address by selecting the Omit check box.
5. If you have access to electronic postage, for example if you purchased it from a service on the World Wide Web, you can add it to your envelope.

1. To select an envelope size, the type of paper feed, and other options, click Options, select the options you want, and then click OK.
2. In the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, do one of the following:

• To print the envelope now, insert an envelope in the printer as shown in the Feed box, and then clickPrint.
• To attach the envelope to the current document for later editing or printing, click Add to Document. The envelope is added to the document in a separate section.

In the inbox the top line says FROM SUBJECT DATE

On the lefthand side beside the colum FROM there is a small box if you click this box ONCE it will put a checkmark in every box.

You can then select the word DELETE above the checkboxes

Try to delete a couple of messages from your inbox, the reason for that blinking envelope is your inbox's memory is full...therefore you have to delete some of the messages.

I don't know why the problem of not being able to log into Yahoo email accounts exists, but you're not alone. If you know that the problem is not you entering an incorrect user name or password, there is a work-arround to get into Yahoo mail. And, it takes less than 5 minutes to set it all up.

To add Webmail Notifier it to your Firefox toolbar:

1) Right click in an empty area on your TOP toolbar in Firefox and select, 'Customize.' (A window with icons will open.)

2) Locate and drag the envelope icon to your upper toolbar and click, 'Done'.

3) Once the envelope is seated on the toolbar, right click on the envelope icon and choose, 'Options'. (A window will open.)

4) Select, Yahoo from the drop down menu.

5) Type in your full email address in the 'User Name' box.

6) Type in your Yahoo mail password in the password box.

7) Click, Add

8) Make sure 'Enable Login' is checked that the bottom.

9) Click, OK.

Now, when you want to go to your Yahoo email just click on the little envelope icon and you'll be sent straight to your email page in Yahoo.

- I forgot to add, the envelope will be gray when you don't have any unread emails, but turns yellow when you do.

Our just started to do the same thing. Drove us crazy because there were no messages. I couldn't find the manual so I looked up the manual on their website. Here's how to fix it....IT WORKS! With the phone in "stand by", open the menu and select Global Setup.Select VMWI reset. Then select yes.

it is a voice mail probsbly press one and talk and it will connect you to your voice mail after that you will listen to the voicemail and after it wlill give you a option to delete it

Could be either a TEXT message, or a Voicemail.. Check both and delete from the system.
