Dyna glo tag along propane heater pilot stays on but when turning

When I light heater the pilot will stay on and nice blue flame but as soon as I turn to low the flame goes out and also on high

Sounds like either a bad thermocouple or more likely a pressure regulator problem. should have unit checked by someone familiar with propane systems.

make sure you have the gas valve knob on turned to pilot while pressing that down while pushing the spark it should light or it is tripped on a safety like rollout switch or oxygen depletion sensor if equipped which all ventless heaters are

We had a problem keeping the pilot light to stay on, and this site recommended that it could possibly be the thermocoupler that was causing our problems also. We ordered the thermocouple, put it on,hooked it back up and it worked great! Thank you so much.
