It needs a new cartridge. Moen gaurantees most of their products for life, so if you have the original instructions check for contact info. They'll send you a new cartridge for $0.00

Most reputable plumbing stores will replace the cartridge for you too. The one I exchanged mine at had a huge box of the defective cartridges. Get a Delta or Grohe instead.

The moen began to leak over time now i cant turn the water for

Call moen and give them your model no. they will send you a new cartridge free of charge. if you can't wait local stores like lowes will have them. Turn off your main water shut off valve and take off handle, then with some pliers take off brass ring, the cartridge will pull out. First notice the notch it rests in and notice where the hot water adjustment disc is. Assemble the new one the same way, put some vasolene on orings and reassemble. hope this helps.

Moen kitchen faucet. I changed the cartridge but

Single or dual lever? A new ball if single lever. Home Depot or Menards will carry them. Teflon tape if dual cartridge. Stay away from moving parts

Moen one control shower faucet is leaking hot water

Try replacing the cartridge first. That's your best bit . Next would be the whole valve. Hopefully, it's just the cartridge.

Moen shower/tub faucet

hi... yes that's a very common issue with moen "cartridges" -- it's very simple to fix..... grasp the handle and give it a gentle tug upwards when the water is on... if it retracts again, pull the handle out again and tug again but this time a bit harder. Not sure what causes this on new cartridges but it will fix your issue.

The plumber soldered in the faucet without removing the cartridge, the o-rings are melted. Have the builder replace the o-rings.
