your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is not closing all the way. It needs replacing.

You need to change the fill valve, its like a solenoid its staying open

Some water yes. a lot of water no.As long as the water stays below the wash tub you should be OK.
You might want to pull your water pump off and check for a restriction.

Maybe a water fill problem ,washer will stop if no or not enough water enters the tub in a given time

its better do a maintenance, or put it to wash without cloths, only water and clorox, and varsol with the max level (water)

If the machine continues to fill even after the power has been switched off, this sounds like a stuck inlet valve. To identify the valve, look at your model in the "parts store" section of Maytag's website. The valve is item 21 on the "Control Panel, Top & Lid" drawing. From the drawing, the valve looks like a fairly standard item; I suspect you might get something suitable a bit cheaper elsewhere. A
