I don't know if this will help in your situation, but here is how I would approach the problem.
1. Check the output of the external power supply.
2. Remove the battery, remove and reseat all of the memory cards; Try to power up again.
4. Remove the hard drive, cd drive, floppy drive and any externally connected devices; Try to power up again.
Hope this is of some help in the resolution of your problem, and have a super day!

Ibm thinkpad audio drives G40 2384

You can get the driver from the computer manufacturer's website. If you want all drivers covered and updated, then you can install an automatic driver updater like RadarSync. You don't have to go to different websites to find the different drivers because the software will do all the work for you.

I hope this helps!

My thinkpad g40 has the following on my screen "resource conflict pci net controller in slot 01 bus :02,device:02,function:00 " how do i correct this?

Dear Friend,

This type of message is commonly associated with wireless or PCI card failures. I strongly suggest you to either update your BIOS (if you can) or disable this devises.

Another way to isolate the problem is to get an external wireless card or PCI network card.

Ibm thinkpad modem problems

You may have installed the wrong driver version. Some Thinkpads may have different manufacturers of the same type of devices installed in the laptops, therefore you need to install them one at a time until you find one that works. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link :- http://www.ibm.com/products/finder/us/finders?pg=ddfinder&cm_re=other-_-suprcn-_-download You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the variour drivers, they will then unzip and expand into a folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder.
