I can´t install drivers for modem on board in my dell laptop and I need to do it

Usually the recondition, or refurbished product from Dell have been retested to ensure they meet all original factory specifications. I don't understand why your modem and cd rom drive don't work. How long had you purchased it? When you said you can't get internal modem to turn on, you meant it not working?
There are only two things could happen to each of them (modem and cd rom drive) For Modem: please check it through device manager, and modem to see if it has red x or yellow question mark, or says unknown device, if you do have one of these, you need to install correct driver. Please check your Dell service tag number (it is on white sticker on back of laptop), and go to dell.com, support, and select driver and downloads, key in your service tag number, and download the modem driver to install. If it still doesn't work, then the physical internal modem is the faulty one. For your CD rom drive, it should work with just standard driver preloaded by the OS, you don't need to install driver for. It is either dirty, needs to be cleaned by the CD room cleaner disc, or it is bad. You can try to reseat by trying to take whole thing out and insert it back in. If you have Dell diagnostic cd (usually comes with your laptop when ordered) to run hardware diagnostic to find out the faulty one.
This is the common issue with refurbished laptops (most common issue is with keyboard). When buying refurbished one, you have more chances to have some part issues. I suggest to reinstall modem driver to see if it works, and try to clean cd rom driver and reseat it, and hope for the best. Let me know the status Thanks

Maybe it's an driver installation order problem, the system needs the audio drivers installed prior to the modem since I believe they are both on the High Definition Bus. Here is Dell's official install order for the D620 with integrated Intel graphics...

yes, if there's no audio device you'll have to install the drivers. Check also if you have a modem installed. In some laptop models the sound and modem were hooked onto a UAA bus, which requires a Microsoft UAA driver (about 70MB file). I've seen one too many times that peoplw who reinstalled Windows forget about this driver and then cant install the modem and sound card.

You just need to install the Network Driver for you modem or sometimes you will have a driver for your modem.You can find the modem/Network driver either in the Dell Cd or in the other CD you got along with you laptop. If you dont have the driver in both just check the manufacturer of the modem so that you can get the driver of the same from the manufacturer's website

If the internal modem is functional and the driver is installed, then that should be all you need for a dial up connection. If the modem is listed in device manager without a Yellow Exclamation Point then the driver is likely loaded properly. if it does have an exclamation point, then you may need to load the driver. There were 3 different modem models shipped with that system.

If installing drivers doesn't resolve, then a PCMCIA modem is a inexpensive option

You probably need to install network adapter driver on your new hard drive.
Go to my computer properties, select "Device Manager" and see if there is a network adapter installed and working.

Go to control panel and uninstall programs, on there if you see a driver for the web cam then uninstall it.Then restart pc and plug in the camera and it will ask you if you want to install the driver software and click yes for it and allow re-installation.This should solve your problem.

go to support.dell.com, choose drivers and downloads, then type in the service tag of your dell laptop. you can find that number on a sticker at the bottom of your laptop. then you will have all the drivers for your laptop. download and install the modem driver.

I don't think you would be using modem for internet connectoion.
