It could have got an internal fuse, not the one in the plug. Also the power switch might have broken. There's only one way to find out! Take the bottom off and have a look.

No power to my 1210 MK2s

HI,

Open the turntable. It sounds like the on/off switch is bad. Remove the platter and screws with a phillips screw driver and just make sure the connections are in place. make sure you disconnect the power first.

My 1210s will not turn on as if there is no power going to them, there is, and i have changed the plug fuses! any ideas?

Faulty switch? If all else fails go inside! Often from the underside of the turntable and see what you can find.

Techics sl-1210s m3 turntable spins back on itself

You have a fault on the quartz-lock speed control electronics. It may be a simple fix, it may be not.

It will require specialist investigation. A Technics dealer should be able to advise you, and arrange shipping back to Technics for repair if you decide that is the best thing to do.

No Power to 1210s

Problem is not the fuses, but the power supply / power transformer has blown. This is why you should always wrap exposed wiring with electrical tape or heatshrink tubing.

The power supply can be purchased HERE, but this is not an easy replacement. And if you blew it by not properly replacing the Pop-up light, than I DON'T suggest you try to replace the power supply on your own either. You could really cause even more damage, and possible harm to yourself and your property.

PS3 - tv says no signal

You need to change the resolution output on your PS3 to match the capabilities of your TV. If your TV is not HD you can't leave the PS3's video output on HD. SCART is for european television connections. Have you tried using component cables? Have you tried changing your tv's source to Video 1 or Component 1 or HDMI or anything that might work? Good luck!!

Technics 1210s mk2

You have a short somewhere on your main PC board that is causing this. You will have to take it to a qualified service professional for testing.

There is no 'motor' per say on this model. It is direct drive, so there is no moving parts. A drive coil rotates the magnet that is located under the metal platter. This in turns causes the platter to rotate. You can stop the platter, and nothing will happen to the drive system. It's basically just not going to turn. There is no resistance occurring, which is the beauty of these turntables, and which is why DJ's prefer them to other models on the market - especially the Turntablist community.

More than likely there is something on the main PC board that is causing a short, blowing out the fuse. Look at R213 - see if there is a discoloration around it, also take a look at Q2 and Q3.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, then don't try to figure it out. Take it to a service center.
