Unlock bios master boot password

Openthe back of the machine, under the PCMCIA slot, and find the EEPROM with 8 pins.

Short pins 3 and 6 for about 2 seconds after pressing the power button, then it "should"say:

***Manufacturing Mode - Level [1]***

Press Fn-X to return tonormal mode" then when you see this, press F2.

After bioscomes up, press ESC, choose "Save and exit" then reboot.

No more master boot password.

Simply call, Email, or use Online Chat from http://support.dell.com and give them your Service Tag, and they can help you out from there. If it is a Windows profile password you have forgotten, try accessing the Administrator account from Safe Mode (Press F8 at Startup), and remove the password for the user account from Control Panel, User Accounts.
