this hapeen because the system has protection itself, to due the lack of maintenance, by that reason you must LUBE the deck belt, maybe you have a WORN deck belt. 2) LUBE the rollers bearing too 3) Test the drive belt motor for cracking or worn belt. 4) Test the input voltage motor, if there are the motor need replace 5) Test the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are NOT the board is faulty. God bless you
Hi, Check and clean the speed sensor near the motor pulley. If the speed sensing have some problem then the system will stop the motor to avoid further damages to the user. I have added the picture of the speed sensor You can see The cylindrical portion near the motor pulley
Enter calibration mode and do a calibration first. Press the stop & speed up key, insert the safety key/magnet. Press stop 1 more time. Press speed up, the speed display should start to increase in value. By 30-40, the motor should be running. If not, you either need a motor or motor controller PCB. What model is the treadmill?? PCTL???
You have to put the safety key in if you want to select speed/incline or predefined programs.
It starts and runs at full speed on that occasion because it's part of the maintenance process, that lubricates the inner rollers so that it will continue to work perfectly for as long as possible.
Check both belts to be sure they are adjusted and not slipping.Check the underside of the walk belt to see if it feels frayed in the center as compared to the edges, the center always wears more than the edges a really worn belt must be replaced. if it is nor worn there is a wax lubricant for proform treadmills that can be purchased at retail stores that sell treadmills.Sears, dicks sporting goods and also treadmilldoctor.com are good places to buy it.
You can get a book by calling 1-800-999-3756. The treadmill you are usine in a cheaper model. the motors on those units are not that strong. when you incline your unit gravity make the belt move faster. Remember incline put a lot of pressure on you lower spine. This can cause injury for some.
I had simillar problem. I have proform 830 QT. My trademill stops after 10 minutes of work out. Everything shuts down and the circuit breaker pops out.
Root cause:- no lubrication under walking belt. Caused the moter to over work (over heat) and hence te circuit breaker popped out to prevent blowing of motor.
Solution:- Apply the lubricant under walking belt and adjust the belt tension if needed.
Back ground:- Contact proform customer service at 1-888-533-1333 (http://www.iconservice.com/proform/faq_tread.html) and buy the treadmil cleaning kit or lubricant kit which comes with a wand for easy application. It may cost you 35 dollars including shipping. If you need to fix your treadmil right away, use NAPA silicon spray 8300. Proform actually tells do not use it as it may damage your belt. However the specialst who came to fix my treadmill just sprayed it and collected 100 dollars. When I called proform they told me lubricating will fix it and its my mistake to not trust them. I guess they knew exactly what they were saying.
When running at higher speeds the treadmill gets hot and trips off
