The track pad on my bb curve8520 won't scroll the phone is only 3 month's old service provider told me to mail it back to bb. any solutions

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Service Provider again for Hardware Support.

After updating my blackberry my scroll pad does not work.

    I did have the same issue. I bought my phone August 2010 and started having problem with the scrolling particulary that it always seem to be scrolling own even when I try to scroll up.

    I have also updated my blackberry with no effect on the scroll problem.

    I did try to delete all data on my sim, phone, media card and now it seems to be back to normal. I suppose this makes it a non hardware issue.

    What I did was take a piece of paper and folded it up to be about half a cm thick, and then placed it Under the battery where the sim card is, (looking from the back on the left of the sim card)

Bb curve 8520 track pad would not work replaced with a new one but still have the same problem can you help

Hi,

Try to test at least 2-3 track pad,might the one you bought is still defective,same case i've got in you, on the 4 track pad,it works.

Also clean the main board interface connector of the track pad,might be corroded that is why it is not working properly.

Any text message i send goes to the out box and is either resending (to no avail) or listed as failed. I got the phone 3 days ago. It is a work phone with telstra. Nokia C%

The problem might be with "Message Center Number" which is different for different service providers.

You should call you service provider "Telstra" and ask them that number. You can then enter it in your mobile as mentioned below.

My blackberry fell on the floor a few times and now the scroll pad isn't scrolling, i can click but it move across or up and down, help me, what can i do?

take ther battery out of your phone. Take toothbrush and a can of air and see id yu can get it tomwork. if that diesn't help shake the phone to see if yout anything loose on the inside. you may have knock the thr navgiation pad off track. The pad is like thr one son a pc. if you haven't taken one apart before don't now because you could lose the pieceson the inside or carack thr pad. call bb to dee if they have a warranty ceneter you can send thr phone to. Their isn't much motr outside of cleaning thr pads .It usually is a seal pad. Sorry I couldn't help more

I have had my blackberry for month now and my blackberry messenger has been working fab but since tuesday i havent been reciveing messages or cant send messages and when i always wake up i have about 10...

I would reccomend trying
1. removing the battery (you've probably been told this before sorry)
2.. Deleting and downloading the most up to date version of BBM
3. Deleting your service books (Options>Device>Advanced>Service Books>BB Menu>Delete)
4. Registering device on the network (OPtions.Device>Advanced>Host Routing Table>BB Menu>Register)

Track pad not working 0on 8520 blackberry

I had same problem and now solve it :) Just disassembly the phone and check trackpad connector ( just take it off and return on its place ) It will work perfektly :) U can find more videos for replacing trackpad on UTube .

Need to know how to get the internet and email service working on an unlocked blackberry storm (formerly used on verizon) now with US Cellular. The phone works fine, just no extras :( I was told that this...

Internet: needs network/data access that bb browser can use, through cell provider.
email: needs bb enterprise server, if your workplace/company provides bb server. Else your cellular provider would need to provide bb email server.
My storm is thru Vodafone Australia, I have web and email. You would need to be with a cellular provider who has a deal with blackberry to provide internet and email - have you looked up US Cellular's bb support yet? http://www.uscc.com/uscellular/SilverStream/Pages/x_page.html?p=bb_cust_serv
Check if Internet/email are part of the phone service agreement you have, or you might need to pay extra to have them.
