Tv makes buzzing noise then picture fades and eventualy shuts off

you might be right. Color wheel can make this noise.

Remove the lamp and look at the color wheel that faces it.

If wheel is shattered or missing pieces set will know it is not moving or moving too slow and shut set and lamp off.

Tv have a colors wheel.Colors fade in and out or flashes black and white within the picture.The tv making humming or loud motor noises the colors wheel is dying and not spinning correctly in it motor anymore.The tv must have it colors wheel replace,will solved this problems.

It could be you color wheel try to go bad, however when it does you will lose the picture. If you can repair or fix a computer you can change your color wheel if it goes. Cost Appox $100 you can search by your TV model #

Lamp probably went out. Refer to your manual regarding lamp replacement.

It the colors wheel,must replaced DLP samsung have alot of colors wheel misalign make noise.

Bearings in color wheel going bad and needs to be replaced. Call a local tv repair shop on pricing and availability of color wheel for your model and chassis
number.

There are only 2 moving parts on a dlp tv the color wheel and the fan. The color wheel needs to be replaced about every 4 to 5 years. Some start to make noise and others like mine blow up with a bang. Go to utube to get instructions on how to replace it only cost me for part $100 good luck
