THOMSON SCENIUM 44RW65US Red light flickers

Hi,

My situation is similar to other problems. Somtimes the T.V flickers from RED/YELLOW/Green in quick sessions. Please Someone help!!

Quan Chung We have the 52 inch Thomson Scenium and it was working wonderfully all day today - until I switched it off for a couple of hours and once I attempted to switch back on the red light flickers continuously... what does it mean? Please - the kids will go nuts without a tv tomorrow...

it flickers from red to yellow then red then off then back on red then goes back yellow and then just stops at red.

we had this problem for a whie but after a few clicks it turned on, now it doesnt even start!

I have the same problem. i have to switch it off at the mains 5 times b4 it comes on

My thomson scenium 27lcdbo3b tv powers up from standby but there is no picture only a faint light from the screen.nothing happens when i press the buttons on the side or use the remote .any ideas?

It sounds like you have no back light . This should be checked by an engineer. At the worse case the screen could be faulty

Thomson Scenium 52 inch television

This is no easy fix problem you need to take set to repair shop, this is a lot of problems with these sets cold solder ,poor connections,bad deflection boards, tuner boards, bad ribbon connectors etc etc ect......BAD Flyback Transformers.Normaly id say your hori out put was shorted but on these sets anything can happen.
