SETTING UP TJE PANASONIC DMR TO OTHER COMPONENTS

I have a Panasonic DMR-EZ475V DVD Recorder / VCR Combo and i want to hook it to a Panasonic SA HT680 DVD Home Theatre Sound System, a 2001 Sony Trinitron Color TV and the Comcast Cable Box. Somehow I have the sound of the TV coming out of the speakers but i can not get the DMR-EZ475V Recorder / VCR Combo to come throught the speakers. I have the S-video and audio/video cords going from the TV to the Theatre system. I can see and view the dvd recorder this way but i dont know how to connect the rest of the systems: the Cable box and the Theatre System. If i need more audio/ video cords or to connect the items differently, please explain. Ms Tanya, 2/8/08 2:32AM CST.

My panasonic dmr-ez475v has a dvd stock inside and will not open or eject the cd. what to do?

I had the same problem. It would not release the DVD because it was not ready. What worked for me, was to insert a VHS Movie and play it for a few seconds, than stop it using the remote, then Eject with the remote, and then after removing the Tape, I pressed the Open/DVD button on the unit and now it worked, it released the DVD

New cable box now can't get panasonic DMR-EZ475V to work!

Do the first time setup and when it asks how you receive the rf signal select no as the answer, this will allow you to record directly from your cable box but you won`t be able to record and watch another channel.

DVD door will not open

That is a problem with those units not all but still a problem, the fuse in the dvd recorder has failed unless you can repair surface mount components I suggest you take it to someone who can, the part that failed is marked with an N on the underside of the dvd recorder there are two of them so make sure which one is bad.
