the top of the waste toner container must be cleaned 100% from the toner because it should be a light sensor that has to pass through it , if its spoiled with toner the light cannot pass through it ,so i recommend you to empty the waste toner container first and wash it with water and drying it well before using it again.
The C25 stores toner in a waste toner container. On the front of that container there is rectangular clear window that fits into a sensor when installed into machine. The sensor passes a beam of light through that window. When the bottle is full there is toner inside that clear plastic window which stops the light from making it through the window and the machine will tell you the waste toner is full. Just dumping the container out will not clear that window and by putting it back in the machine you will get the same toner full message. If you are going to try to reuse that container you will have remove the black plastic cover that is glued to the container above the clear plastic. Then use something like a Qtip to clean all the toner off of that clear window(much easier and faster to just replace in with a new container). if you still get the waste toner full message after you install it then remove it and wipe off the sensor that the clear window sits in. This will clear the message and you can continue your copy job.
The waste toner container is located inside the drum unit. This code means the drum unit is full. To empty there are two caps that can be opened and the waste toner can be emptied. Usually the waste gets full when the unit is very close to be replaced. You may be able to get some more time if you empty it, but you will probably need to replace the unit soon.
open the cover and now remove the waist toner container (you say it is empty) check the conection to the drum unit sometimes if the waist toner is verry full there is a pille of toner closing this connection, now clean it and all the sorounding from the toner and mount the waist container back in his possition, close the front cover and try, it should work now.
The waste toner is inside the drum unit it self. You can empty it out, but it is very messy. If it is full, you most likely will need a new drum unit soon. It is up to you.... Good Luck
Empty the container that holds the "waste" toner.
You may have to use the controls on the printer to say that you have emptied the container, because the printer is "estimating" (not actually "measuring") how full the container has become, based on the number of pages that have been printed.
The life of the waste toner container unit is approximately 1,250 pages for full color 5% image printing or 5,000 pages for black printing. When the life span of the waste toner container has expired, Replace/Install Waste Toner Tank appears on the display of the control panel, indicating the waste toner container needs to be replaced. Otherwise your printer stops printing.
To replace the waste toner container:
1 Turn the machine off, then wait a few minutes for the machine to cool.
2 Open the front cover.
3 Pull the waste toner container out of the machine using its handle.
--- above from manual, following is my paraphrasing due to lack of pictures --- 4. remove the container cap from the back side and cap the opening
5. take the new waste container out of its package
6. install the new waste toner container.
___________ You may wish to TRY EMPTYING the waste toner, but you will find toner is the messiest and possibly dangerous (inhallation, etc) stuff you've worked with. it is an extremely find powder and can cause an awful mess and is best disposed of by capping and replacing the container with a new one (shop around to find them).
DO NOT attempt to vacuum up toner - just my personal opinion - I suspect many vacuums may not have fine enough "bags" to capture this intentionally very fine dust. BUT Toner vacuums do exist and some "may" work.
There really isn't enough information given to give a proper solution. This copier has the drum light come on steady or flashing to indicate the waste toner needs to be removed. I don't know if you're a technician or not but lay people have emptied the toner cartridge instead of removing the drum, removing the cap on top of the drum, emptying the waste toner , replacing the cap on the drum, then putting the drum back into the copier. I've never had a copier keep the drum light on after doing this.
Your machine catch's excess toner and puts it in a container and needs you to replace/empty it soon or it will have to stop work, sorta like needs just a dash of attention for all its effort.
The bottle at a guess for this model will be apparent when opening front door, instruction are probally on the inside of door but it is just a container full of black messy stuff that needs to be emptyied and replaced....hang on I'll google it....looks like you need to buy a new box and that will have instructions even.
