I have purchased a new housing and facia kit. I have everything changed over except the microphone. How do I remove it from the old housing to the new one?

Try to talk with your lips touching the mic . If there is any improvement open the mic housing very carefully and bring the capsule as near as possible to the top part of the housing . hope this helps.
it is very easy, but u need a special tool kit to release the spring clips that retain the radio in the dash, most autop parts stores like NAPA and Carquest have this tool kit, about $5
Sounds to me like you may be missing a phantom power supply. The 570S is a Dynamic mic. The MX412d/c is a Cardioid and requires a 11-52v supply over pins 2 & 3 in the mic cable. Phantom power is a feature of most professional mixing consoles(usually 48v). If you do not have a phantom power supply on your system- then you can purchase single battery powered units to insert in the link between sound console and Mic. For example: AKG B-18
Hope this helps.

I read another post that said to go to Logitech itself for up-dates. This I did......downloaded all new drivers, etc. (the disc that comes with the cam must be out of date !). Then when that was done, I went back on Skype and where you do a 'voice test' I was able to this time around to "choose" my webcam - this was not coming up before at all. So in doing that it activated the mic on the webcam and all was OK. We seniors are supposed to be savvy with the forever changing world of electronic devices today! (LOL)
hi there..if there is video and background audio coming out from the TV, and no voice recognition from the mic- then mic is the problem. I believed the problem is the "voice coil". This is a part that can be replaced- you can contact me and we can repair that.
two ways to check remove the mic ball the part which the mic ball is is covering is the voice coil. try holding both terminals (black and white wire)- if there is feedback sound- it is open and need to be replaced try using your tester- test the impedance- there should be 500- 600 ohms reading
