If am right blocked means unable to use with some software...
Ok first check the setting of your anti-virus at times it integrates the firewall setting and block your webcam

    Also check the setting of windows firewall if in the exception you have skype checked in it..
    You can also check setting through control panel then click windows firewall then on exception tab
    check if you have skype in the checked box or else you will need to add
    the skpe software through:
    C:\Program Files\Skype

After a windows update my webcam on windows live messenger as stopped working. done clean boot,uninstalled both webcam&drivers&w/l/m then reinstalled eveything, but the problem still remains, can any1 help PLEASE, it driving me NUTS.

How do you unblock a built in web cam

    Check maybe your Internet Service Provider has blocked some communication ports. In this case you can ask them to unblock them for you or you can use a program like AutoTunnel that will unlock your blocked ports.

    you have to download the software first install it and then activate the camera and then invite another person to view your camera once you invite them they will accept then you allow them acess the web page for downloads and operating instructions is at this site http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=ICE and once you get the software you must clcik the top button to get itto work and adjudt the ring on the camera to adjust the lens.
