Maytag electric dryer (PYE2300AYW) does not stop on auto cycle.

I have a Maytag electric dryer model PYE2300AYW. If used on the automatic setting, it never shuts off -- the clothes get dry and then hot. The dryer works fine on the time-cycle. Thanks

    Thanks mrfixit3667 but....

I can't really see that this model has either a humidity sensor or a control board. Looking at the electrical schematic, it appears that it uses a thermostat to sense when the clothes are dry. Should I try replacing that?

Either the control board or the humidity sensor is bad.

Maytag pye2300ayw, When I turn the timer knob the dryer starts up automatically. Normally I am supposed to push the timer knob in to start. Dries perfectly and cuts off at end of timed cycle.

The start contacts in the dryer timer are welded together, the timer will have to be replaced to fix that issue you can order the replacement timer for that model at the link below:

Does a kenmoore 80 series have glides

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Maytag-Parts/Dryer-Parts/Model-PYE2300AYW/3048/0151200?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=PYE2300AYW
go here and you can see the parts in your dryer,if the model isn't a maytag pye2300ay then just put your model number in there and it will show you, kenmore doesn't make anything, you go by the model number if it starts with 110. it's a whirlpool,if say 417. it's frigidaire made but the maytag model you sent has rollers and i would say if you have a kenmore 80 series it has rollers, you can buy a kit that comes with the rollers, belt and belt pulley

Maytag dryer model PYE2300AYW dryer runs gets hot stops. when I try to turn it back on it makes a noise and won't start back up. What could be wrong?

It sounds like your motor is bad. you could take the dryer apart and clean off the lint on the motor and see if that helps but it sounds like i said the motor is faulty.

Maytag electric dryer is drying inconsistently.

you may need to check the lint trap and clean it .. also try cleaning out the dryer vent... if this doesnt work , try changing the drine belt...

good luck

Maytag Dryer quit working mid cycle

sounds like the timer, the only thermal fuse i know of is to protect from overheating which cools and resets itself
