I bought a new computer with Windows 7. Is Printmaster 18 compatible? I have started to install it but a message came up stating there were 'compatibility issues' Is this correct and if so, what can I do?

    I do not save as PDF and I am still encountering difficulties with the program. It often freezes on me and now I can not access my files and does not allow to save files on my computer either. I can however save them on my flash dirve. It also freezes and it does not allow me to close the program not even with the task manager program.

    I just got a new computer with windows 7. I'm also having problems with Print Master Gold 18. The advanced drawing feature won't initialize. Get this error message (C:\ProgramFiles(x86) \Common Files\Broderbund\Advanced Drawing\AdvDraw.exe failed)

    Can it be fixed??

Hi, PrintMaster is known for having versions that are not compatible with certain Windows Operating Systems, 18 is known to not work with Vista, yet works with 7 and XP quite well. The best solution would be either to upgrade to Windows 7 or get another version. Good luck!

the problem is that windows 7 is not compatible with Print-Master premier 7.0

The program cannot run on windows 7 because it wasn't programmed for it. This is why the error message comes up.

There is nothing you or anyone can do about this.

You can try version 15 in compatibility mode:

Troubleshoot Compatibility
This can help with some (but not all) programs/drivers:
1) Uninstall the program if it's already installed. Then when you install/reinstall it instead of double clicking on the install file right click it and select "Troubleshoot Compatibility"
2) Then click "Try Recommended Settings" and in the next window click "Start the Program" to install it.
3) After it installs see if it works correctly. Please note - some programs may not be able to run in Windows 7.

Printmaster platinum 8.0 is rather an old 16bits software and it is not compatible to your new version Win 7 OS.

You can check software compatibility @ Windows 7 Compatibility Center

Your option is to upgrade to version 18 which is Win 7 compatible.
