I am not sure where to find a manual but you are correct if the speakers are wired in series then the output shoul be eight ohms. It is possible that a screw went through one the input speaker wire to the amp this would cause the right channel not to work and if it was grounded it would cause the pop sound you hear when you turm it on. If you are getting no sound at all out of the right side I woul check the input wires. Try turning the balance all the way to the right and check for any music or sound at all if there is none then ,ost likely the input wire. If you get low sound of the station it is on then it is the amp channel.
I couldn't locate it, but this site is a great place to get one:

I haven't had much luck either. That is why I decided to use FixYa.
I have replaced the bad wire. I have tried the balance thing, but no difference. I have switched the left and right channels and get no or maybe a faint sound out of the other side. I am not at the RV right now so I can't retest it.
Is there any way I can test a channel on the unit without having it hooked up? Is there any way to test it if it is hooked up, other than switching the channels?
Is there any way to see test a channel to see if it is 8 or 4 ohms?
Is there anything I can do to repair the bad chanel?
