Megavision - Why does it only allow you 57 minutes of a movie?

A lot of companies do this. It's because the cost of bandwidth is expensive. They cap you at 57 minutes, usually for a length of time, then allow you to watch their content again.
These type of companies usually have a subscription fee so that you can watch whatever you want for a specific amount of days.
Other than that, you can attempt to use a proxy or use an IP Changer software application.

Turns off after a few minutes

Sounds like a possible power short, especially if you have speaker cables connected to the receiver but not to speakers -- leaving the ends more likely to short (even via a single thin copper strand across a millimeter or two, when the voltage peaks). The receiver's message says "Check Spkr Cables," right? (They do mean the Speaker Cables!) Most receivers have a built-in power overload detection/protection shut-off circuit to save you from such mistakes.

Computer shuts down

Your computer is most likely overheating.

Make sure it is positioned so that none of the vents are blocked on the unit.
Check it with your hand to see if it's overheating, make sure dust is not blocking the vents.
If the issue persists, could be software or a failed cooling system on the unit.

Power loss

Its possible that one of the speakers wires are shorting out or touching the case of the unit (leads to protective shutdown).
