I solved the problem, by tipping the dishwasher back about 45degrees, I think this re-adjusted the flood sensor, and it is now working fine. Thank you.

Have been struggling with the same problem. Tipping the machine backwards worked. Many thanks.

Just noticed my dishwasher hadn't started and the check water light was on - googled the problem - got this page - did the tilt thing - all over, working again and back to normal in less than twenty minutes! This site and those who contribute are fabulous, thank you so so much.

I had fault E15 - check water showing on my 6 month old dishwasher. My fault I was experimenting using my free solar heated hot water - I tipped a couple of bowlfuls of hot water into the machine just after the cycle started. It must have activated the flood control switch judging by entries on other forums. Followed this advice by switching everything off, pulling machine out and leaving it wedged tipped backwards at about 45 degrees for 5 mins whilst I cleaned all the gunk that had been revealed behind the machine. Then lowered machine back to floor and switched on - hey presto! Now working fine and have concluded probably not worth the false economy of using solar hot water tipped in via the front door anyway! Thanks for the post.

Zanussi zdt 6053 usually will not run full cycle (on any cycle) but stops with constant error beeps. But it is draining ok and sometimes goes full cycle (not often) Any ideas?

Could be anything!
If you suspect that there is a fault then it will be displayed by blinking LED "END OF CYCLE". As the display of failure in hexadecimal code it can flash up to max. 15 times than short pause and after that repeat fault code. You must to count the number of times the LED "END OF CYCLE" flash up.

Example from user manual: Anti-flood device is activated.
- continuous flashing of the indicator light of the running programme
- 3 intermittent audible signals
- 3 flashes of the END OF CYCLE indicator light
(which means "i30" fault code, the cycle is interrupted and the
drain pump switches on).
Possible causes:
Water leakage from the tub - sump and various connections
(pump, upper spray arm duct etc.); floating sensor blocked
mechanically; microswitch faulty; fill solenoid blocked
mechanically; circuit board faulty (solenoid triac short-circuited);
wiring faulty.
26226179-aipk5px1bmfkdpsmrgevaqwn-3-1.jpg Could be also:
To cancel a washing programme in progress:
- Open the dishwasher's door.
- Press the programme selection/cancel button for about 3 seconds,
until the indicator light of the running programme turns off and the
END OF CYCLE indicator light flashes, indicating that the running
programme has been cancelled and that the machine has
returned to setting mode. It is now possible to select another
washing programme. If a new washing programme will be
selected, check that there is detergent in the detergent dispenser.

NOTE: only during the drying phase, if the dishwasher's door will be opened and remains open for more then 30 seconds, the running programme will be automatically cancelled and the machine will return to setting mode. This will happen, always only during the drying phase, also when the machine is switched off by pressing the
On/Off button and remains switched off for more then 30 seconds.

Bosch diswasher e15 light

Most likely it is the flood switch trigger causing the problem.
Many reasons for this but mainly it means there could be water leaked into the base of dishwasher where flood switch is located.
Or if you have Aquastop fitted in the water inlet hose then the hose might have kinked due to age or being pressed between cabinet wall and dishwasher. Turn power off to dishwasher at mains plug and pull it out. Check hoses. Tilt it about 20 degrees to one side on a towel and hold for about 10 secs. This should get the water out. Wait an hour or so to dry any moisture in the base and then plug back in and turn on. This should reset the E15 fault.

AEG OKO FAVORITE 4070 - AFter not using for a week dishwasher is flashing dry & end together, will not switch off unless turn it off at the power point, there is no water left in the machine.

If the END or DRYING indicator on the programme progress display is flashing, you can probably rectify the fault yourself.
After rectifying an END or DRYING fault, press the button for the wash programme that has been started.
The wash programme continues. If the fault is displayed again, than check water leakage in the battom of dishwasher.

Malfunction: END and DRYING on the programme progress display are flashing simultaneously.
Possible causes: The leak prevention system has been triggered.
Remedy: Try to find and repair water leakage otherwise close the tap and call customer service.

Hi, Dishwasher problem: When a programme starts, the machine fills with water then stops and the "check water" light comes on. To empty the machine, I used the reset programme which does empty the...

You will need to check the inlet valve and the water level pressure switch. It can also be a low pressure in the pump that is giving out the signal for the control board to shut off.
So first of all check the water line throughly to confirm.

My bosch excell dishwasher won't drain it stops during the wash and won't restart until I have emptied the water then it will wash ok until it gets to the drain part of the programme then it stops again....

A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water.

Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing.

Bosch SHU 6800 Water hot at sink only luke warm at the washer

BAD CONTROL BOARD TO TEST TO SEE IF THIS IS THE ISSUE RUN TEST PROGRAM
To start test program, press and hold both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO program buttons, then turn unit on by
pressing ON/OFF button. Initially, control module version # will be displayed (e.g./ “20” = version 0 without jumper). When
wash program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button.
To check each program indicator light, press its button. To check Cycle Countdown display, Refill Rinse Agent light and
REGULAR WASH light, press REGULAR WASH button (press Delay Start button to test Cycle Countdown display
alone). Cycle Countdown display will show "88" when REGULAR WASH button is pressed and "8h" when Delay Start
button is pressed.
To start testing, press both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons a second time. When testing has ended,
Cycle Countdown display will show a fault using codes below. If more than one fault occurs, code numbers will be added
together, (e.g./ “6” = faults 2 + 4).
0 = No faults detected 2 = Heating fault 8 = NTC (temperature sensor) fault
1 = Aqua Sensor ("Sensotronic") fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test)
To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil,
measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays
at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty.
If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), display will show fault code "4" and unit will continually fill and drain where
testing won't be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show "0", water won't heat (to 150ºF) and
water won’t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code "8" immediately and
testing will end shortly after water has started circulating
