Unlocked Blackberry storm 9530 EDGE issues. Rogers network

I have a unlocked Blackberry storm 9530 which I am using on the Rogers Network. The edge on my phone doesnt stay on. It is supposed to say EDGE but it stays as edge which means data is not working. I have read this is an issue with the storm and I have switched the 3g option to 2g only but this only worked temporarily. Does anyone have a solution on how to get EDGE working consistantly???? My OS version is v4.7.0.148. The phone was originally a verizon phone.

Reinstall your blackberry software since blackberry storm 9530 unlock code only unlock your phone network, not your software configuration and you must manually installing your software after you unlock blackberry network. Got it?

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues like this.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.

It just need to reset your phone and upgrade your blackberry os. Some blackberry phones even already unlocked still have default seting software from old network provider that's why in this example your blackberry, even already unlocked using blackberry storm 9530 unlock code your booting screen still show verizon logo. No big problem it's usually happened when you unlock blackberry phones.

Can i use the same jailbreak software for iphones on a bb storm? will it work to unlock my network that is blocked

Absolutly not, every jailbreak software is made only for a single brand and you can't use iphone jailbreak software to bb storm, it can damage your blackberry system. You can unlock your phone from single network using blackberry storm 9530 network unlock code, that unlock code will make your blackberry unlocked and can use any network sim card after that.

My blackberry 9530 strom it say reload software 513 what can i do to fix that problem, and also to unlock it.

You can unlock your blackberry using blackberry storm 9530 unlock code. Blackberry unlock code can be obtained from your network provider or you can buy from third party sites to save more money and more times. After your blackberry unlocked, it should be no error 513 message again. If that error still appear, try to reinstalling your blackberry os.
