Pull the top pin out of the hinge, place it on a hard surface, and strike it lightly with a hammer, giving it a slight bend. Tap it back into it's hinge slot. The slight bind should stop the self-closing, The self-closing is due to the door being hung off level.

You need to check your hinge side door jam to see if its not straight up/down.If top side of door is tilted in or out it will cause your door to slowly open or close.Re-level the hinge side of door first then match up door jam to the rest of the door.Easy process if your wall is perfactly straight up/down.

Your Door is out of Level I suggest you get a Four Foot Level and start at your hinge side and take a nail set and drive the existing nails on the hinge side on the outside of the trim and drive the nails in only on the outside of the trim not the inside of the trim until the jam is loose and relevel your jam and drive new 6 penny trim nails in depending on the thickness of the wood 6 penny for a colonial 1/2" thick and 2 1/4" wide set your nails and do the same thing on the lock side next just line up the margins an 1/8 " margin all around the door and make sure your door is Plum both ways shut the door and check make sure it is Plum close and open.

this means your bedroom door is not plum or level you need to check at the hindge side and put a level on it and see if it is plum set your level along the hindge side upright position if the door jam is out of plum the bubble with be off center of the lines. Just move the level slowly out at the bottom to see what way you need to move your hinge out . for example if you need more at the bottom of hinge take the 3 screws out and place a small thin washer behind the plate on the jam and put the three screws back in. Then it will correct the swing of the door.

How to have Hisense Doors stay opne and not self close

Here are some general steps you can try to make the self-closing doors stay open:

Locate the hinge cover on the upper doors of the fridge. This is usually a plastic or metal cover that conceals the hinge mechanism.

Remove the hinge cover by gently prying it off with a flat-head screwdriver or by unscrewing any screws holding it in place.

Look for an adjustable tension screw or tab on the hinge mechanism. This is typically a small metal tab or screw that can be rotated or adjusted.

Use a screwdriver or pliers to adjust the tension screw or tab. Turning it clockwise will usually increase the tension and make the door close more quickly, while turning it counterclockwise will reduce the tension and make the door close more slowly or stay open.

Adjust the tension screw or tab as needed until the door stays open at the desired angle.

Once you have adjusted the tension, replace the hinge cover and test the door to make sure it stays open and closes properly.

Keep in mind that adjusting the tension may affect the performance of the self-closing mechanism, so you may need to adjust it again in the future if you notice any issues. It's also important to be careful when adjusting the hinge mechanism, as improper adjustments could damage the fridge or cause the doors to become unstable

Maytag fridge right door won't stay closed

it may be necessary to reset the hinge adjustment to move the door further across the opening giving the magnets a better area to hold on to . there is a slight amount of adjustment in the mounting points of the hinges. You may have to replace the door gaskets as they become hard over time and the magnets cannot work properly in the hard plastic

Garage door opens only 2/3 and won't stay closed

One could be that the tracks are misaligned and its slowly pinching the roller wheels. Sometimes that happens when they get bumped hard. or if the hardware was never really tightened it can slowly work its way out of alignment. THe roller wheels should always have wiggle room.

Rear passenger door won't stay closed

Door latch on door itself is in closed position if it will not close at all. In this case, open door and pull outside handle hard to pop open door latch. If you have door opening at random, door latch needs replacing or door catch on body is loose.

Bedroom door shot stay shut. can push it open.

I have dealt with this problem dozens of times. It can be very satisfying to fix, and it's not very hard to do.
On the door frame there is a little metal plate called a strike-plate. It has a hole in it that the plunger is supposed to fit into. (The plunger is the thumb-sized spring-loaded tab that sticks out from the edge of the the door and retracts when you turn the door-knob.) The problem is that the plunger is not aligned correctly with the hole in the strike plate. This is a very common problem. In older homes (say over 50 years) it is usually a vertical misalignment (that is, the hole is too high or too low). On some newer homes, there can also be the case that the door doesn't quite close far enough for the plunger to reach the hole. Get down on your knees and look closely at how the position of the plunger relative to the hole in the strike plate as you slowly open and close the door. (Careful you don't get hit in the head!) Once you identify the misalignment, here's how to fix it. Mark the strike plate with a sharpie to indicate where the hole needs to be adjusted. Remove the two screws holding the strike plate, and remove the strike plate. Use some tape on the door to hold the plunger in temporarily - this will prevent damage to your door frame while the strike plate is removed. Hold the strike plate in a vise and enlarge the hole with a file. If you don't have a vise or an appropriate file, find someone who does to help you.
And if the amount of misalignment is so large that you would have to enlarge the hole in the strike plate so much that it will obliterate one of the screw holes, then you will need to move the strike plate instead of enlarging the hole, but I'll stop there.

GE profile freezer door pops open

If you close any refrig door " fast " , the other will pop open . These magnetic door gaskets , are designed for lighter holding power now , than they used to be , due to children getting caught inside . I would suggest lowering the front legs slightly , so that when you let go of the door , it will close slowly on its own .
