Do you have a Windows computer that is able to connect to your wifi router? If so, then download WirelessKeyView (link is to CNet's download service so it's a trustworthy program)

Run that on your Windows computer, and then type the wifi key into your iPod touch.

Have a d-link router with password. Ipod touch(8G) won't connect

Try remove the password on D-Link router, put it on open conditions (no security enabled). It should work.
If still won't connect, try using laptop or any wireless device to connect to router(without password), if connect, then there's something wrong with your Ipod.

Ipod touch will not accept my network

Go into General settings, then under Wi-Fi settings make sure it's turned on first, then if you can see the name of your next work, to the right of that you should see a blue small arrow pointing to the right. Click that, at the bottom of that screen your HTTP Proxy should be set to off. If you can see the first 4 boxes have your IP address, subnet, router, and DNS information in there, click Renew Lease and try to connect again. Make sure your password is entered correctly, meaning if you have upper and lowercase letters in your password enter them the same on your ipod. You may need to authurize your Ipod on your router before it will allow it to connect, not sure what type of router you have. Hope this helps Cali

I have an iPod Touch and I have been trying hopelssly to connect to the wifi. I have a BT Voyager 2110 router. I have been putting in the right password and it even says I am connected as it has a tick...

Well... since you said PLEASE help!

So what is the IP Address that the iPod Touch gets? Does it match with what range the BT gives out?

Does anything else connect through that router successfully?

You might try changing the WEP, WPA, WPA2 that you are using ... see if that helps the iPod touch to connect. I've seen where certain computers, etc. do not like WPA or WPA2 or certain passwords or key codes.

Can't connect my Ipod touch to my router?

You must be sure to what router you are trying to connect. I understand you have a ZyXel and a linksys. You must have 2 wireless networks. Your wireless network must be secured, so you just have to use the correct password. I need more details. Try this http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

ok do this if it is already showing your router up on your portable device but it has that security lock and you are unable to join or need a password which u dont know lol go to that network and on the top push forget this network. than go back and click on for other location. than for the name put in your router name usually 5 characters long make sure u use capitalization cuz its case sensitive. than select what kind of key u have it should say right on the side of your wireless router. than type the key in usually a wep key and u should be set to join it if it doesnt auto matically do soo
