Hi - first check that all the fans are rotating - the set will shut down if they are not. ***** WARNING potentially FATAL voltages (up to 400V DC) exist on the
PSU boards - if you don't know exactly what you are doing don't !
******* Unfortunatly the fault could be on a) PSU b) CPU board, as this monitors the PSU voltages and will shut down the set if the measured voltages are wrong c) plasma drive circuits - if these are drawing excessive current, or someother fault exists the fault feedback signal to the CPU board will activate and the set will again shut off. Check the PSU voltages, the standby power must be OK otherwise the set wouldn't work at all !. The +5V switches on first followed by the +70V and +170V (about 1-2 secs delay.)
If the 70 and 170 dont come up try removing (with the power DISCONNECTED) the two large double row connectors on the PSU board near the 70/170 V test points - these supply the plasma drive circuits - the set will still switch off as there is a fault feedback line from the drivers, but it should stay on long enough to check the voltages.
