LG DLE2532W Electric Dryer doesn't allow adjustment of drying options

On our LG DLE2532W Electric Dryer, once we choose a drying cycle, the selected options aren't changable by pressing the buttons. For example, we choose the Normal cycle, but then can't set the heat to anything else (e.g., High, Med, Med Low). Dryer works perfectly fine except for this quirk. Ideas?

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

Does not dry clothes like is should, takes forever and does not get dry

Check for restricted vent. Could also be the cycling thermostat. There are videos at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that show you how to check. The video is for gas dryer but checking thermostats and thermal fuses are the same on both.

LG dryer won't shut off - gets stuck at 6 minutes

Your problem seems to be the timer switch is faulty.
Timer switches are normally non-repairable. You would need to replace the faulty switch

I have an LG DLE2532W dryer and it takes hours to

the vent pipe is probably full of lint. pull the dryer away from the wall, disconnect the vent pipe and look inside the rear of the dryer and thru the vent pipe. remove any lint u find as it is a fire hazard.

Dle2532 lg dryer, cooling light is always on

I'll take a stab that you use dryer softener sheets. These will deposit a coating on the two metal sensor bars (about 4 inches long, very near the lint filter inside the drum) which prevents the sensor from "seeing" that the clothes are still wet, so the dryer jumps to the cool down portion of the cycle. Clean the metal bars off and it should work again. (note: the bars are not in the cycle if you choose time dry instead of using the automatic cycles)
