Function error e124 just showed up on the panel of my Bosch oven

Can you provide a model number for your oven. Is it a single oven or double ? Wall oven or free standing range ?(conventional with cooking surface)
Unfortunately the error codes for Bosch are different depending on the model of the unit.

Hi, I had the same error E124 and read somewhere that this was related in the oven door switch, i resolved the issue by taking apart the locking mechanism (the 2 switches are within this mechanism). I used a multi-meter and realized that 1 the limit switch seems faulty but it was actually the trigger arm that was not engaging properly when I was pushing the hole thing. So what I did was use a pair of long nose pliers and slightly reshape the metal arm so that the movement would engage the switch properly, it took me less than 30 minutes and now everything works properly. I suspect that the heat from the oven will create over time some play in the locking mechanism since its above the oven and then both limit switch give a different output to the controller and then since the oven is not sure if the status it will go in a fail safe mode and display E124 and prevent the oven from working properly. I post this in the hope of this being useful to somebody else.
