Uploading computer screen to camera

I am tring to create a "How-Too" video of a computer proceedure. I would like to use my A520 to create the video. Instead of simply holding the camera (set on video) in front of the computer sceen, is there any way to hook up my computer with my A520? And then there is the issue of sound, but I guess I can always make an audio file to put the video and audio file together.

Please advise.

When I try to download pictures from my Canon A520 camera to my computer, I get a message saying the computer can't detect my camera. The software is loaded. The camera is in play mode. In the past I...

Most likely the software has corrupted. To eliminate this possibility, uninstall the software, reboot your computer and then reinstall it.

If this fails then please add a comment and we'll go through further options.

One other option is to simply use an external memory card reader and bypass the Canon software altogether. You'll also find that uploads are far quicker using this method.

I can't copy avi videos from canon powershot to my computer.. What is solution on it???

Use a card reader instead of the camera to download the videos to a folder you create on your desktop.

My camera will not upload any pictures onto my computer. i have all of the correct software uploaded. it used to work correctly and now all of a sudden it will not upload anything.

Buy a card reader and stop using a USB cable. Card readers are much faster than USB downloads and work as a hard drive. Cameras do not need software to download onto a computer.

Can't upload photos with Canon Powershot A520

If the other solutions didn't work for you, you can always buy a memory card reader for around $30... These plug into your computer, and then you remove the memory card from your camera, and it clicks into the reader. Or your comptuer, if it was made in the last year or 2, may have an SD card reader built in...

I have the same camera, and the same issue. After a lot of research I have come to the conclusion the A520 will not allow this.

I have to say Mac's I know nothing about. But the simple way would be to purchase a universal USB card reader- and use that.
