Toro snow thrower model 826 has a gas leak from the carborator and will not run.the leak is somewhere beneath the needle valve
I have the exact same problem...anyone?
I have a Toro 421 4-stroke snow blower (I know not the same model). This was just recently fixed to correct a factory problem where the float seat was corroding due to the ethanol content in fuel nowadays. It was leaking gas from the top of the carburetor, I'm assuming from a vent hole. They fixed it under warranty. It was bought in 2009 and was only a year old.
My mothers snow blower, exact same model, bought at the same time, had the same problem. Hope this may help to find a solution.
I also have a 421QE with the same problem. Discovered on 1st use this winter. Parts back ordered and now its snowing and I am without a machine. Toro terrible customer service and will never buy anything from them again. This is obvious known problem that Toro ignored to determent to paying customers.
