Cyan Toner always prints faded.

I have a problem with the cyan toner. Doesnt matter of strong cyan is always prints faded cyan. Really strange. I've tried other cyan toners, everything. What should i do?

Do you think its the cyan developer? How can i check the developer? Where is it in the machine?

regards,
Rui

It is the developer. All colours should be changed at the same time. This can be accessed via the right hand side of the machine, when you remove the cover. (where the output tray is)

One interesting thing about light copy on a Doc 12 is, the toner cylinder has a wire spring inside it. The machine turns this spring (called toner stir) in order to shovel the toner out the hole so the toner can go into the auger to transport the toner to the developer housing. If the toner stir motor(s) aren't turning, hardly any ink will go into the auger. The ink just sits in the toner bottle, not moving.
Eventually, the problem color will get light, making it look like weak developer. Tap the toner cylinder several times, run some copies, eventually the problem color will start to get darker.
If a test pattern is not available, then print a "small" image of a copier test pattern. A large test pattern will use a lot of toner.
The solution is, have the toner stir motor circuit checked. Dirty ADC sensor, laser mirrors dirty can block light causing poor copies.. The toner augers can also be faulty.(Broken auger, or toner motor gears not rotating.)
As a suggestion earlier, one pulling out the developer housing, adding a teaspoon of toner in the developer housing will help prevent the machine going into an error codem because of the light condition. Put the toner in and light shake the developer housing will help stir the developer-toner mix.
Some copies would have to be run in order for the developer housing to stir up the developer and mix the added ink. Hope this works.

What kind of printer is it? Also have you replaed the drum cartridge? Are they both in the same unit? If so replace the whole cartridge.

Instead of Bule print DC12 prints Violet

Hi there! The blue color is becoming violet because the Cyan and the Magenta toners are not getting mixed in the proper 100:100 ratio (100% Magenta and 100% Cyan make CMYK Blue). Since the print is violet, the culprit is the Cyan toner. Now, first, get the Cyan Developer Assy checked if there is enough developer in it. If no, get it refilled by a proper tech and manually mix about 50 grams of the Cyan Toner with the developer. Also get the tech to check the trimmer gap on the Developer Assy with a metering gauge. If yes, next check the Cyan dispenser motor located on the backside of the Toner Housing Assy. It is probably broken and not dispensing any toner to the Cyan Developer Assy . Additionally, check for the Cyan Dispenser Auger blockage or jam. It is located under the Cyan Toner Cartridge in the Toner Housing Assy and also check the auger under the Cyan Developer Assy. After sorting these out, you should get proper CMYK blue from the 10th or 12th page once you resume printing.Let me know. Regards

Excess cyan toner is on electrostatic transfer sheet even after wiping it. All black and white pages are printed with cyan background.I am even using original cartridges.

Since you have Cyan toner in places where it should not be then the only possible cause is a defective Cyan Toner cartridge. I worked on one just last week where the customer complained about Magenta toner on their prints. I also noticed Magenta toner on the Transfer Belt just as you see Cyan toner on the Transfer Belt. I replaced the Magenta Toner Cartridge and everything cleared up nicely. The Transfer Belt Unit can also cause similar problems but it would not be ONLY one color like Cyan. It would be a mixture of all colors. My bet is replace the Cyan toner and you will be fine. If you have an old empty one just shake it up a bit and try it as well. This might allow you to verify before buying a new cartridge.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Xerox phaser 6180. Printing 3 blue horizontal lines spaced evenly apart on printed page. New toners. Could it be fuser? transfer roller?

Just because they are new toners, doesn't mean they can't be faulty.

Faults that show in just a single colour are almost always related to THAT colour toner cartridge.

TRY THIS

If you still have your old cyan toner, swap the chip from your new toner and put the old toner in the printer, then test.

If the lines are gone, it's the NEW cyan toner cartridge.

Aficio CL1000N Printer: On my Ricoh aficio CL1000N it says add toner Cyan....

If I remember right, the CL1000 won't print if any of the 4 colors are out. You have to replace the cyan toner in order to print, even in black and white.

If you haven't tried already, you can try taking the cyan toner out and shaking it up (just a little bit) to try to get the printer to find the little bit of toner left in the bottle.

Large Toner Streak... Bad Imaging Unit?

Check to see if you waste toner recycling for the cyan is working or being blocked. Check the transfer bias roller next to the cyan drum. Return you cyan imaging unit for a warranty replacement. Check for obstructions to the cyan developing unit. Check that the cyan IU was put into the machine properly. Check for toner leaking from the entrance to the developing unit or from the toner cartridge.

or, call a qualified KonicaMinolta tech to check out and service your machine.

Hp 4600 no cyan printing

Firstoff, if you have tray 1 set to "any size" & "any type" they had problems with it going into calibration to frequently. If you upgrade the firmware this will take care of that. As for no Cyan, check the scanner interlock to insure it is opening the scanner cover. You could also go into diagnostics and disable cartridge check and swap the cartridges around, ie. cyan & magenta, run the print quality pages and see if the problem follows the cartridge. It could also be HV power supply.

Pages full of toner / toner streaking

First off, this is a comment from a random person who may or may not know ALOT about these printers and toner/printer design in general. All toners are not designed to the same specification. Toner is a combination of plastic "pigment" and iron like shavings to make it magentically attracted to the electrical charges within the unit. Different toners conform to different grades and mainly size of the particles within the blend. The manufacturer doesnt only recommend that you use their toner to make them money, yes of course it makes money, but its because when the unit is designed it is designed to use a certain grade of toner, trust me if you put the non-branded toner vs the branded toner under a microscope you would see quite a difference. Often the non-branded toner is much larger in particle size (obviousely because its cheaper to make at this spec). This causes a variety of issues from excess toner not being cleaned off of developer rollers, IDT rollers, or clogging of toner dispenser tubes in the unit and the micro filters contained at the toner dispenser assy and developer assys. Also as for the issue not changing when switching to dell branded toner - the dispenser tubes within this unit contain up to 500-1000 pages worth of toner, making no change in toner you make immediately visible. Also depending on the damage caused by the previous toner, it may not be able to be fixed until all the components in between the toner and final delivery (drum cart) are replaced. In this case more than likely the toner dispenser assy, all developer assy's, and drum cartridge need to be replaced, and than be sure to stick with factory branded toner :)
