I have my e71 china, and when someone is calling the caller name didnt appear on the screen only the number..how can i solve this so i wont be able to guess who's calling.

Press Phone.
Press the menu icon.
Press Settings.
Press More settings.
Press Show my caller ID.
Press Show number to turn on caller identification.
Press Hide number to turn off caller identification.
Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

If you store a a number with more than one name, the next time the number calls u, it will not show any name.
You have to delete the other entries and leave only ONE entry. Then you can see the caller names and missed calls.

You might have also to get the assistance of the service provider to bar an incoming number. Menu - setttings- call divert or call baring. use the incoming numberr and set.
Bu the best way to solve is to make a complaint to the service provider about this nuisance and also one to the local police- cyber wing.
Your caller can be warned which is better than you barring the caller

In some instances the caller might have caller-id blocked or a *67 manaul caller id block.

You are correct if you have a duplicate contact entry it does not show the name of the caller incoming.

To display your phone number to the person you are
calling, select Call > Send my caller ID > Yes. To let
the network determine whether your caller ID is sent,

This is why your caller's name won't display when they call in. You basically have the names stored twice in your phone, one on your memory stick and the other on your phone. For you to sure of this; get a number and store it on the sim and store it the second time on the phone. Call in and you would notice that the callers name won't show.

Back up the contacts via the Nokia PC suite, delete and re-save on the phone. This would solve the problem.

Thanks for using FixYa. I think you have stored more than 100 Caller ID messages and hence the caller ID is not showing on Uniden Tru8888. In the following cases the caller ID will not be shown-

If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (for example, before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.

When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, the caller’s phone number and name does not appear. (This includes some international calls.)

When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear.

You may receive any one of the following messages:

When a private name is received; Private Name
When a private number is received; Private Number
When a unknown name is received; Unknown Name
When a unknown number is received; Unknown Number
When invalid data is received; Incomplete Data

The Caller ID list stores information for incoming calls - even unanswered calls. You can store up to 100 Caller ID messages and phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) for each handset and the base. You can view the Caller ID list through the handset or base during a call or when the phone is in standby mode.

Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to all 100 entries for each handset and the base. Caller ID messages are not stored when you have 100 phonebook entries. When you have stored a total of 100 phonebook entries and Caller ID messages, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

First you need to verify if the caller id does that to all incoming calls, showing numbers only, or if it only does that to only numbers stored in directory. If it does that to all incoming calls then you need to check manual to see if there a setting to allow both name and number of all incoming calls. Either way you need to make sure caller id functions allows both name /number on display.
