Whirlpool Ultimate Care Model LSR8233EQO - Loud noise during final rinse/spin
It's hard to describe this noise, but I'll try. Not quite a grinding noise (but it may be?), more like dry parts rubbing together. It makes this noise anytime it spins. When it goes to the final rinse and spin cycle, when the drum spins the fastest, it gets very loud. Other than that, everything else works fine.

Hello,have to tell you that most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping noise during the spin, the load of cloth may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the cloths, then restart the machine. Repeat these steps if necessary.
It sounds like the agitator gripping teeth are worn out. To check this, take the agitator cap off with a strong knife or flat-head screw driver, pull the cap off and check the plastice teeth and four plastic hooks that grab the teeth. If they are worn out, then you will have to replace the agitator. To replace it, you will see a nut that is between the circlular teeth. Unscrew the nut and pull the agitator up hard.
