I can help you fix the BUSY Error or Error 99 of your Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D.

Installation of this Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D firmware version 1.06 update will solve these problems:

  1. Some cameras may exhibit a phenomenon in which the LCD monitor does not display, the shutter does not release, and the BUSY indication remains lit in the viewfinder.
  2. The message, "Err 99 Shooting is not possible. Turn the power switch to<OFF> and <ON> again or re-install the battery", appears on the camera's LCD monitor, and after the above operation is carried out,the LCD monitor displays in a language that is different from the actual language setting.

Flashing colours on screen
You have the review feature active and the flashing colors are most likely showing you the highlights and shadows that are too bright or too dark for a good photo. Look for the features in the menu to turn them off or try a factory default reset from the camera menu.

No image shows when I take picture
Usually the photo is displayed for a short period of time. Try the setup in the menu. There should be an option for previewing recent pictures.

Open File Explorer and go to the location where the pictures are saved, tap and hold the photo and a sub menu shall appear, select delete from there.

LG Xenon photos don't show on my computer with USB cable connected, just shows a blank screen under the USB device menu.
Try this:
First go to your menu.
Go to Settings
Choose More
Choose Connection
Choose USB connection.
Start the process of connecting the cable to your computer again.

Can't display photos
According to others who have had this issue, there are a couple of things that may help you get your pictures seen easier.
  1. make sure there are no illegal characters in the filename IE: commas, ", or any other type of weird characters.
  2. if you are loading photos straight from a camera and not editing them at all, if you are using an 8 megapixel camera or around there. your photo resolution is way to high for it to load fast in an ipod. Change the photo size in a bulk resizing program or make to photos smaller in photoshop or your camera software.
to see if they just flat don;t load at all, bring a pic up and let your ipod sit...wait wait wait if it's resolution at some time during your busy day it will show up.

Toolbar/menu/handle disappeared from saved and new documents.
Sounds like you've either gone into Full Screen mode or have turned off your Toolbars and Menu via the Customize command.

Normally pressing ESC will exit the Full Screen Mode. If you can't see the Menu try using the keyboard shortcuts like so. Keep the ALT key held down and press V followed T. Hopefully you should now see the menu and select "Customize..." to turn everything back on again.
