Would like an installer for my canon sd 630..canon not available on camera wizard..lost my installer.
You don't need any software.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I'm guessing that you want to download photos from your camera and your running into software issues when you plug it in. But why put up with the headaches of bad software (and it is bad software) in the first place? Please see the following post, as it outlines a much easier, faster, and less error prone alternative way to download your photos:

But if you really want to go the cable route (I highly advise against it, too many problems this route), here's the Canon download page for your camera. Make sure you select your operating system in the little window to see the available drivers:

When was the last time that you replaced your rechargeable battery? It was only meant to last a couple years, regardless of the amount of its use. If the battery is old, a generic replacement is relatively inexpensive these days. Look for those rated 4 or 5 stars:

It depends whether you did a "low level" format or not. Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for. I recommend the listed "PC Inspector Smart Recovery" using it in "Intensive" mode (Look in file menu/settings):

You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. If you don't have one, get one, they're cheap:

Hi,
I'm sorry to tell that PowerShot SD 630 does not support SDHC cards over 2 gig.
If you want the camera to take a card over 2 gig then you are stuck standard SD cards.
The other camera does support the card because it's a higher model.
Regards.
