One of the circuit board ribbons connected on the vertical control is probably loose there is a few vids on you tube for this repair , failing that some of the driver capacitors need replacement with higher voltage caps same microfarad.

sounds like the same problem as with most screens. it could well be the screen as gone

You need to replace the TV screen. It could not be repaired. Just get it replaced at dealer.

Diana, did you ever find a solution? My Toshiba (same model) is about 2 years old and it started getting these 4 horizontal lines spaced pretty far apart and a double image at bottom. When I lightly tap the top of the TV, they went away. But now that is not working. Please let me know. Thanks.

looks like the lcd panel is damaged contact the toshiba service on your area

I have the same problem, my television is faded black on the left side with lines on the left top side. I have had the 46 inch unit for 1 year and 7 months. I am planning to write a demand letter to Sanyo and then taking them to small claims court woth evidence that this is a common problem with their units that they know about and is not trying to remedy. Also the Attorney general in Texas should have an interest in them (Walmart and Sanyo) selling these defective proucts in the state.

Need to check the two things.

1st -- need to exchange T-con Board.
2nd -- need to exchange the cables between T-con & LCD panel or
between T-con & Main(LVDS cable)
