You can format your mobile phone by pressing *#7780# on your mobile phone but remember that formatting will delete all the data of your mobile phone. So take a backup of your mobile phone before formatting it. But it is Better to Flash the cell phone rather than formatting it. Take your cell phone to the mobile service center. They will format your cell phone properly.

Full format solution for NOKIA Switch-off your phone.
1. Press andhold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press thepower on/off to swtich on the phone. Remember, do not let go the 3 press andhold keys until you see a formatting word screen show! 2. well, formating your phone has two aspects to it.it could be either formatting your phone itself or your memory card only. formatting your memory card can be done in the memory card program on your phone, but formatting your phone requires you to type in a code in your stand-by screen ( *#7370#) Formatting your phone memory will delete all settings, messages, calendar items, contacts etc.

backup the phone memory to ur memory card ...and then format the phone ...
