How to hard reset lg BL40? It stuck on LG logo on start up screen. Taking the battery out didnt help...(

This unfortunately can be a software issue

Try turning it on with no battery and the charger plug into it.

It is possible that the phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Copy only valid files to the card and do a scan before it is replaced. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up or is slow when it is switched ON , then it is confirmed that the software has errors and will need a reinstallation.

Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.

If just a logo shown on your screen,probably the phone system crashed or corrupt, some reason why this thing happens when the phone memory is too low or almost at full.

I think no free update release by LG unlike "nokia software updater",possible to fix this phone is with the use of gsm gadget and for sure only mobile service center have this to program the firmware and bring back the phones life.

You need to master reset the phone, you can do this by Settings > Phone settings > Reset settings
