I'm not positive this is the exact model I have, but it is a double Thermador oven with both thermal and convection options. I had a power outage recently and when the power came back on, the oven lights were flashing, the bottom oven was making a clicking noise (similar to the noise ovens make in a self-cleaning mode), and the bottom door was locked. No touch-pad buttons controlling the lower oven were functional, although the upper oven appears to be functional. I can't locate the model number with the bottom door locked, and don't have a troubleshooting manual. The only way to stop the clicking noise is to shut the oven off at the circuit breaker. Any advice will be appreciated.
Iodine, open the upper oven, look thru the grill below the control panel on the right side and there is your model number. The issue here is that when the power came back on the oven run thru a test and your lower lock motor has failed. It will need to be replaced. Yes the only way to stop this is to shut off the breaker.
Iodine, does your oven have dials to set the temp and such? If so then the model is behind the lower oven door along the right hand side or if newer then along the right hand side of the upper oven on a metal plate. This is a CT model. Hope that helps
Iodine, you can do it. Turn off your power to the oven, Pull out on the lower door, take a metal coat hanger and put a 2" bend at 90 degree angle, put the coat hanger 2" to the right of center at the top of the door until it hits the oven can. Now turn rotate the coat hanger until the bent part is down and move it to the left. This will unlock the door. Now remove the 2 screws on the grill and pull it forward. Watch the wires on the door switch. Now you can get into your oven and remove the latch. Your model will be as you stated. That piece of paper in there is the wiring diagram for the oven. Part number for the latch is 489102. I just looked it up.
You are very welcome.

Thanks, i had checked that location and the model or serial number is not there. I believe the oven is ~ 8 years old so that info may be outdated. The model / serial number isn't under the control panel or inside either of the grills below the control panel. Still trying to find a manual for anything close to these models but no luck yet.
Thanks anyway.
Hi
It is completely touch pad, no dials. I suspect it may be located where you specified, but on the lower oven (which I can't open). Surprisingly enough, when peering behind the grill with a flashlight I see a folded up piece of paper in there! Think i'll get that removed! I don't think this oven got a lot of use.
Do you think the lock motor is replaceable by a DIYer or will it require a service call? I live in a rural area and it's hard to get people out here for repairs.
Awesome! This worked. Once I got the door open I could take a closer look at the latch. It's now able to cycle through a full motion and the oven seems to be working. Still no model number in that location on the lower oven either, but I think i'm back in business now. Thanks so much for your help --- god I love the internet!!
Thanks again,
iodine
our Thermador oven door [upper] will not open. Locked during self cleaning cycle but will not unlatch now that cycle has completed. This is an older model, does have knobs and a small toggle switch [red] that is supposed to be depressed in order to release lock lever used during cleaning mode. lever is pretty much unmovable, will not unlock.
how can i get to the cirtciut breaker
this beeping noise is killing me!
please help
