YOU SHOULD HARD RESET THE UNIT

When restoring factory settings:
u Handsets are de-registered
- When resetting via the menu:
all Gigaset handsets
- When resetting using the key on the
base station: also all handsets of
other GAP capable devices
u Individual settings are reset
u All lists are deleted
u The system PIN is reset to the original
code 0000
u Eco Mode+ is deactivated
Only the date and time are retained.

Need a master PIN

Hi,

To reset the Gigaset 2420 Pin
At "System Settings" in the Menu press *65# then press the Select button.
"System PIN Reset" will be displayed (if the PIN was not already the default).
The default PIN is 0000.

There is a way to override and reset... I think you need to press *67# when in the system pin area via menu. Confirm this first though. There is a way to do this though- then you reset it to 0000- google it and you will find the answer-

Gigaset 8825 cordless phone pin reset

The default PIN for base and handsets is 0000 - if it has not been changed

Press Menu on Handset
Scroll to Mobile Settings - press ok
Scroll to Local Settings - press ok
Scroll to Chang Pin - press ok
Enter Current handset PIN - press ok
Enter New PIN - press ok
Display will show Confirm - Reenter PIN - press ok

You may have the wrong or defective power supply. Or, that problem is common from getting a power surge and the unit will probably have to be sent in for repair, sorry.

OK, here's what happened. I had the same issue of the phone resetting when a call came in, I thought it was a power issue and through some testing it was not. Here's the fix...Menu \ system settings \ enter pin (if you haven't changed it it is 0000) scroll to factory default and reset. This fixed the problem somehow for me, make sure to write down any impotant messages because it will erase everyting (silly me). I hope this helps.

I need reset pin number

To reset your pin on your base station, you push Menu, scroll to System Settings, DON'T PUSH SELECT, push * 6 5 # That will reset the pin.

I forgot the PIN number on my Gigaset 2XXX system base station. What can I do?
Please complete the following steps to reset the system PIN on 2XXX back to 0000. On the system base station:

Press MENU.
Scroll to SYSTEM SETTINGS but do not press SELECT.
On the keypad, enter *65# (Star, 6, 5, Pound).
It will display "SYSTEM PIN RESET" and return to the idle screen.
Note: The base station system PIN will be reset to 0000
