Hi, i tried all the solutions on connecting the phone with PC, but it didn't work. My PC can recognize it as external drive - so there is nothing wrong with USB connection and i can do the 'darag and drop' of MP# or picture using Explorer. But when i open LGSync application, it said CAN NOT CONNECT TO MOBILE PHONE, CHECK CONNECTION and all the menu is grey. I also want to know how can we install new application such as game? I went through the same trouble. After a small investigation I've found that the USB driver wasn't install. I just ran the setup and it worked imediatly C:\Program Files\LGE GSM PC Sync\USB Setup\LGUSBModemDriver_ML_WHQL_Ver_4.6.exe

Had Same Problem, Tryed Best Solution And My Computer Reads It As Connected. My Phone Says Transmitting.. And It Has Been Doing It For A While? Is There A Problem?
First, I followed steps suggested in "BEST SOLUTION" (see solution posted on Jun 30, 2008 by fnbryden.
Then, I restart LG Sync and tried to force connection by clicking the small icon "Connect" located in the upper left. LG Sync showed a message asking to restart the connection. I close and restart LG Sync again and force connection one more time...Success!!! Now I can see the phonebook, schedule, memos, messages...
I´m using WinXP with Service Pack 3 and the CD provided by the cell phone company.

After reading and trying all the unsuccessful solutions I found one. The CD provided by the phone could be outdated therefore go to LG's site and download the latest driver. Delete the one on your computer and install the new one.

Sony Vaio running Vista 32 bit & a LG KE850 Prada had the same problem with LG Mobile Sync not recognising that the phone was connected, but now working fine.
Try the following :
After downloading mobile Sync to your computer.
Open phone settings, then connectivity, then USB Connection & select Data Service.
Connect the phone to the computer, the computer then senses NEW HARDWARE and looks for & installs the drivers.
Once completed.
Open Mobile Sync, select connect icon and the compurter links with the phone and everything works fine from then on.
Had same problem on a Sony Vaio running Vista 32 & the LG KE 850 Prada, with the phone locking up. Located the problem to the 2 MP3 players on the phone ie
One under My Stuff/sounds/MP3 - phone internal memory
and the other under MP3 Player. - Micro SD Card
If you have music in the MP3 Player and Ringtones in the My Stuff/Sounds/MPS Player the phones locks up.
The remedy is to move the ring tones to Downsloads, no conflicts so the phone does NOT lock up.
My KE850 Prada now works fine - no problems!

ok now to the topic...
the fone is not connecting....!!!!
open C:\Program Files\LGE GSM PC Sync.
this folder will be available after u install the resource cd to our computer.
Inside this folder we have a folder named..."USB Setup."
Install the file from here for the USB.
after this Restart the computer.
Now it should work fine...

Are you opening the program before connecting or after?
I know some of the sync software should eb opened before connecting the phone.

I am having problems wih the external memory chip, phone reads it okay, but pc locks up when the usb cable is connected. If the external memory is not inserted into the phone the pc reads the built in chip okay, and also detects that no external memory is in place. Tried connecting the phone on a friends pc, and it all worked fine. Can anyone help?
