FYI: In case you didn't know there was a recall about 2 or 3 years back on the panel itself. If you didn't get yours replaced then I would try and see if you still have rights under the recall. If so, they will replace it for free.

I watched the repairman replace ours and it seemed quite simple as long as you connect the wires correctly. If I remember right he messed up the first time and had to go back in.

MDB 8750 Dish Washer Doesn't start the Wash Cycle.

Yes this can be a touch pad failure that may need to be replace again , because with this type of device usually the touch pad is easy to get bad...

Good luck........

Washer just stopped working no response from any position on switch

Did you check behind the control panel, for a blown control fuse?
2 screws on the top, when removed, allow the control panel to tilt forward.
Be sure to unplug the machine from the wall, before you open the panel.

Can yo see the fuse?-- can you see if it is blown?-- can you check it with a continuity checker?

I had trouble with the Lid switches getting sluggish, and they would blow this control fuse when we dropped the lid-- Finally we just made sure that the control knob was ALWAYS 'in', before we moved the lid up or down!--that worked for us!

MEW6527DDS oven: some keypad buttons have stopped

(I'm providing a late, modern response for people like me who land here in 2022+)
I had the same problem. Gradually it got worse until only Bake ' Cancel work. Sometimes the problem is due to bad ribbon cable connections; sadly, with this oven, the issue is the membrane buttons having failed. It's frustrating, because this has happened with every version of this model that I have seen. Add to this that the membrane buttons are behind a sealed panel that you can't access without breaking it, and you'll quickly learn that you need to buy the replacement part. 5765M483-60 is the matching control unit, but make sure with the vendor that it is the right size for your unit first; it's expensive. It's also now out of stock and is a 2-3 month special order at most vendors. The replacement is tedious, but simple and approachable for a first time DIY'er. At this point, I'd rather buy a new replacement oven instead, but finding 27" models is difficult as most are 30" now, which won't fit my cabinetry - thus I bit the bullet and bought the replacement control unit. Oven came with the house on purchase; former owner told me she had already done the same repair once before; so that means this problem will keep recurring.

Control Panel Problem on a Maytag DW MDBTT79AWW

I had this same problem, ordered the replacement control panel from whirlpool. The new panel worked for two weeks, then stopped working again. OUCH!
The replacement part costs $264.34 and has no warranty if you do it yourself.
I think I am now going shopping for something other than a Whirlpool or Maytag machine. They have terrible customer service.

I have a Maytag MDB 5600AWW dishwasher. There are

If there are no lights on the control panel then initially check if connections to the panel are fine.If they look fine then you definitely need a new control panel. No need for a new touch panel. Its always that the control panel goes faulty, not the touch panel.
you can also check for competitive rates from local dealers and few sites like--repairclinic.com and applianceparts.com
thanks.

Some numbers on panel does not work

I have the same problem. I can't see how maytag can say there are no quality issues since they don't track how many calls they get about the same problem.
