Hello, My Protron PLTV-26 TV will show a picture for a few seconds then the screen turns black.Tryed unplugging it but nothing works.The set is only 3 years old.Any solutions?

First place to look will be the power supply module, check the 5vdc standby voltage and all other voltages as well.

press menu if nothing shows up the prob is in the tv its self you done nothing to it

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc.

i have a protron lcd menu light keeps flashing but tv wont come on any help would be appreciated.

Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs.
1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or
not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.
3. TV turns OFF by itself.
4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work.
5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.

you should have an aspect button, but go into your setting or options screen and adjust the resolution or aspect
