What is the right battery to Minolta XG-1? - Konica Minolta Photography

  • TRINA RICHMOND
    TRINA RICHMOND Jan 12, 2014

IT TAKES TWO MS 76 BATTERIES. DIFFERENT BRANDS WILL CALL THEIR BATTERY BY A DIFFERENT NUMBER. AN LR 44 IS THE SAME, AND THERE ARE OTHERS AS WELL. ANY DECENT CAMERA STORE SHOULD CARRY THESE. IT WILL TKE 2 OF THEM.

SOURCE: How do I change film in my Minolta xg-a camera ?

Pull out the rewind-crank (on the left hand side spool) and lift it. This will open the back of the camera. Be sure to rewind the film first or you'll get it all exposed.

1. Remove the batteries and replace with proper alignment of POLARITIES positive and negative.
2. Turn on and off for two or three times.
3. Load the film in the champers correctly.
4. Aim the camera at the proper lighting objects and try with the different aperture and speed settings.

If everything lights in the camera when you test it ,it means the battery is alright, try this trick"Rotate the film advance connection at the bottom of your camera using a nickle (not the battery compartment) the one directly at the bottom of the shutter and should click if there's not you have some bigger problem.Good luck.

I just bought the minolta XG-A, will I be able to adjust manually the shutter speed? I just bought it only, still has not been shipped. I bought it mainly for a film photography class but I just read that...

Minolta XG-A can work in full manual mode. The lowest shutter speed is 1 second and it had Bulb mode where the shutter is open as long as you press the button.
