Check your Device Manager "Start > Run > devmgmt.msc" you may have not installed controllers for your motherboard. Look for "!" and install the drivers using your motherboard driver disk. If driver CD is not available you can download updated drivers from Gigabyte Support Site.

Hope this helps.

Sir, i have hp mini 210-1000 laptop without cd/dvd. while installing windows xp i have deleted the partitions & tried to install xp from usb but failed. please help me to install windows xp .

Check the BIOS to see if you can make the USB as the first boot device, if you can then you will be able to install XP from the USB flash memory stick.
The reason why your XP installation failed is because in most older laptops, the USB port does not work until Windows XP has been installed.
Your hard disk may have an Windows XP install partition that you can access to reinstall Windows, provided you have not deleted this partition.

USB devices not recognised or not working properly?

Try these steps to reinitialize your usb ports on your pc

1. Unplug ALL USB devices connected to the computer. If you are using a USB mouse and keyboard, temporarily use the older type PS/2 devices if you have them, if you don't then just leave them connected.

2. Hold down the windows key and press r

3. Type devmgmt.msc into the run menu and press ok

4. Click on the + sign next to the Universal Serial Bus Controllers

5. You might need another mouse to do this if you have a usb mouse.. I recommend you get a ps2 connector mouse which goes into the green round connector in the back of your pc.
0a245dd.jpg
6. Right click and uninstall first the usb root hubs. all of them then uninstall the rest of the devices you see under Universal serial bus controllers

7. Ones you have uninstalled everything you should see the Universal serial bus controllers there at all.

8. Now go ahead and restart your pc.

9. Ones you have restarted the pc your usb ports will reinstall in a moment stand by while it installs all of them. If you get warning messages click ok or continue installation.

10. Now go ahead and plug the usb devices back in. Install software if required, all usb devices if not faulty or broken should work now. Also note the error code if you get one?

This solution doesn't fix all usb problems so if you have a yellow ! mark there and device status reports a error code. Then it might not be a problem with your usb ports.

Thank you for reading, do leave suggestions, comments, feedback below.

I have a Dell 530 S Dell Inspiron. Its Webcam has stopped working. Any solutions

The very first step is of course to check your web cam connection. Most web cams use the USB port to connect to the PC, so check if your USB cable is properly plugged. For build-in web cams this steps does of course not apply. Many new laptops have a build-in web cam. Also try connecting your web cam directly to your PC instead of through a USB hub (if you are using one).

The next thing is to do is to check your Windows Device Manager and see if the hardware is recognized and installed properly.

It might be that the hardware is recognized as a camera, but the right drivers are not installed. The yellow explanation mark will indicate a problem.
Other devices in Windows XP device manager

If the device is not recognized in Windows XP, Right-click the device, and in the pop up menu select Update Driver Software. Then follow the instructions on screen, but make sure you allow Windows to search the web for updated drivers.

In case no driver for the web cam can be found, you can try a third party driver finding program that scans your PC for installed hardware and allows you to install missing drivers.

If this fails, the next step would be to un install the software that came with your web cam. Use the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel. If that does not work you can use a third party un installer.

After un installing the software, restart your PC and then reinstall the web cam software. In most cases this will solve the problems. Depending on the software, you might need to unplug your web cam during the software installation. If your problem is not fixed then you have to buy a new one.

Hope the above information will be helpful to you.
Thanks.

Ethernet-controller drivers for Acer Aspire 5520-5908 XP

Find a USB memory-stick, and find a computer with Internet access and an available USB port.
Put the memory-stick into the USB slot.
Browse to ACER's web-site, and select your specific model of the Aspire line, and select Windows XP, and select network-controllers, and download the device-drivers, and copy them onto the memory-stick,.
Walk the memory-stick to your Acer, and install the device-driver.

USB Device Not Recognized

try downloading the drivers from sony first http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&externalId=C116935&fes=true&mdl=DSCW5 that is if you have already downloaded the proper usb drivers for your system in which case other usb device are still working also it is possible that the usb port itself has gone bad or is in conflict with another driver assuming your using windows to check this you can start by telling me which version of windows you are using but more than likely the proper camera drivers will solve the issue

Web cam is not responded

here is a check list that might help you . first if your using windows xp you must have atleast service pack 2 installed first , vista didnt have any requirments . also make sure your usb drivers and motherboard drivers have been updated properly for your motherboard . make sure you have installed the proper webcam drivers for this model ... i would unplug any other usb devices and try it by itself . There may be some sort of conflict with the camera and another device. but from what i read its not a very good cam its considered generic and sold under a few different names . anyway if still problems , if its new i would return it if possible and get a logitech which is a very user and software friendly webcam

    Veo web cam

Normal 0 You need to go to the manufactures site and download the VISTA driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install the program.

Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
    Hope this helps. Bud
