Dvd player of my panasonic st-ht520 system does not work because of damaged mainboard. is it possible to find dvd player which is compatible with the active subwoofer or to connect another dvd player via the scart terminal of the system in order to transfer audio to the speakes and video to the TV pet

The system has a locked / unlocked toggle sequence on the main unit by holding down stop (or Play) and then tapping the power button. Use this sequence lock or unlock the DVD / CD drawer.

remote control until “Initialized” disappears from the television. Turn the unit off and on again.
All settings will return to the default values.

It's possible that one of the fuses have blown on the inside. Sony DVD players are known for this (Models DVP 330, 360, 560) and there are many complaints about it. They give the "No Disc" or "C-13" error. I ended up searching the internet and found people that had the same issue. I found the fuse and went to the store to find I had to buy 5 fuses because they were not sold separately. I ended up just soldering the connection knowing that it may break again any time. It works now and has been working for 4+ years since it broke. I'm not a very technical when it comes to electronics. I was just mad that my DVD player broke after the warranty expired. I originally paid $400US for the Sony DVD player. Now I can buy Sony DVD players for under $100US.

You can try a CD/DVD Cleaner Disk ($3-$5). Some sell for $15, don't know if you'll get better results. If it doesn't work, then you have a laser alignment issue that needs calibrating. The labor is likely to cost more than a new DVD player.

It is the region mater of your dvd player. The region of Your dvd is not matched with your Player. You need to change the settings of dvd to region "0"(Zero) means region free.

the dvd that you are getting sound are 5.1 ch out put that time your system by default selecting the same out put but all dvd are not same so when you are not geting the dialouge pl check audio mode on your systm remote.

take it to a authorised technician and tell him to either service it or just replace the lens circuit it will work again
