Svideo and component video inputs

Neither the s video or component video inputs are working on my NEC VT575 projector. Is there a menu setting I need to change? What else could be causing it? Both computer inputs are working

Hi,

Normally in most laptops, you need to press a combination of keys to activate the external video outputs (such as your S-Video and/or the analog/vga/composite. It would be Fn + F? depending on the brand/model.

In desktop PCs, you need to activate the second monitor or TV out in your Display properties.

In your NEC VT575, you need to select the source manually if the auto source detect does not work.

In some cases, the PC's output whether S-Video or Composite would be detected by a projector but would still fail to display on the projector's screen. The reason is the PC's Screen resolution is higher than what the projector can handle. You need to lower the said Screen resolution in the PC's Desktop Properties/Settings. The NEC VT575 can handle max 1024 X 768 but would suggest you try lower settings first in your PC and gradually work the resolution upwards till it blanks out.

In some instances, the projector simply fails to detect incoming video signals and the only solution is to wait till autodetected. At times it is really a projector's fault. it may be necessary to send the unit in for service/upgrade of firmware or hardware fault diagnosis/repairs.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information. It would be of help if you can likewise post brand/models of the PCs that would be used.

Good luck and kind regards.

You mustn't have them plugged in. So try pulling them out then plugging them in. If this doesn't work you will probably need new cords. When buying the cords keep receipt in case you need to get a refund because it was'nt the problem. Also make sure they are plugged inthe right spot!

Hope this helps - Josh

NOTE : PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK If you don't in seven days it will be presumed i fixed the problems.

How can I get the best video image quality with Nec np1000 projector ?

Your best option is using the COMPONENT IN input of the projector (Y, Cb, Cr). Though the highest video signal the projector will support is 1080i.

Not familiar with this projector, is it 3 CCD? if not, it might be using a color wheel and from the sound of it the red is broken off...

Reduce the screen resolution to 600x480 for instance and see if the projector can handle the low res output OK. Then increase screen resolution on the PC unitl the error message appears. Try the video menu settings in the acer

My NEC MT850 projects with a pink picture you can still see image but it is a very bright pink.

A pink image normally means a loss of green signal. If you are using Computer input you should try replacing your input cable to see if this is the problem. If it is pink with video also then the projector most likley has a internal problem.

Epson EMP-62

What do you mean, view sky through projector? Do you mean you have a camera outside, and you want to project the video from the camera with the projector? It depends what your video source is.
The cables also depend on what your source(s) have for output
The PS2 may have composite, S-Video and component outputs - check your unit

You do not need a TV

The projector will display whatever source you give it with the appropriate video connectors and resolution

Here are the specifications for the projector
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/237793/Epson-Emp-62.html
it is 800 x 600 Dots (SVGA) resolution
It has an analog VGA input (D-Sub connector)
And it has Composite and SVideo and component video inputs for analog input
It does not take a digital video signal (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort)
It has a stereo minijack for audio output (like a phone or iPod) so you can send stereo audio to your speaker set

Pink shade more in NEC WT-610 PROJECTOR

Using the on screen menu, check the hue or wall color settings. [Hue]
Varies the color level from +/- green to +/-blue. The red level is used as reference. This adjustment is only valid for
Video, Component and TV standard inputs (not valid for RGB and DVI digital).

Using the Wall Color Correction [Wall Color]
This function allows for quick adaptive color correction in applications where the screen material is not white.
The following nine options are available.
• OFF • Blackboard
• Blackboard (Gray) • Light yellow
• Light green • Light blue
• Sky blue • Light rose
• Pink

Vt575 pROJECTOR

My VT440 says this when it gets to it's pre-defined service life. (a certain amount of hours)

As long as you pop the filters out regularly and clean them (I use a vacuum cleaner) you shouldn't need to replace them.

After that, go into the projector options (with the remote control) and reset the factory defaults... otherwise it has no idea that you have actually changed the darn thing and keeps complaining no matter what! =-]

No Image nec vt465 and yamaha rx v540

You must use the projectors menu to choose the type of input for video out. Your projector is capable of 720p or 1080i high def, but not through s video. If you want high def you must use the component output from your receiver to input on your projector. I hope this helps.
